he uses the same technique again in riff #4, at 27:14. i'm still struggling with the flamenco roll in the first riff, but i've had some success with it in riff #4. give that one a try, and maybe it'll help you with the first one. KEvron

I like this format - write up some crazy slap lines, then break them all down piece by piece. I will probably never use these exact, entire slap lines in real life, but having the little bits explained at a listenable speed allows me to hear them all clearly, learn them, then reassemble them into an original slap bass line of my own. Exactly what the doctor ordered -- thanks, mate!

For anybody that is on the fence about buying the lessons- BUY THEM! You will not regret it. He starts Very basic and goes all the way to full out, top speed, badass slapping! There's tab and backing tracks for everything. His teachings are extremely clear. There is no "fluff" in these lessons. Each lesson is packed with valuable information, exercises and technique. He's done his part in a most excellent manner. If you do your part and put in the time you WILL be slapping just as good as he does!

So there is a course? I see the question why buy lessons. From my experience, when you "enlist" in the course program, you get into very detailed "circuit training" for technique, like hitting a gym. The isometrics of what is done, is not things you would think of on your own

You are such a great teacher Mark! When you first play things they almost sound unattainable but then you break it down so well and explain why you may choose to pop or slap at a certain time, that we spares can actually play these licks. I really appreciate you!

The slap riffs are super helpful and usable---I transcribe them myself, which I think helps me remember them. I add in tablature to remind myself of fingerings and RH technique. The lesson says there are transcriptions already made, so I joined up. But I didn't see links for the tabs for the funk stuff. The palm slaps are a revelation! THANK YOU

Hi and thank you for this amazing slap-bass-lesson. My question is; in the 2nd part of section one "the double-popp" on e' and f', bevore you slap the low e string, are you play the double popp with your first finge ? It's look like, that you change between firts finger an thump. But when I try to play it with first finger and thump, it's difficult. (sorry my english is not so good. Hope you know what I mean and can help me a little bit. Have a nice time.
