One thing I forgot was the KDP (killer dowel pin) on the 12v and VP24v 5.9 engines is a weakness but a simple fix.

Got a 04.5 Cummins, good video. The electrical sensor gremlins I think your referring to is due to the "IPM" Integrated Power Module, also a known issue. It can get corrosion and do all sorts of wacky stuff. Only sensor I've had to mess with is the wastegate pressure solenoid p0243. 230,000mi and still truckin'. Although I think I'm pushing my luck with the stock injectors. Great truck but the stock 48re is trash on my 4th, lol. Next will be from Suncoast.

Amazing how putting emissions equipment on causes worse fuel mileage..which is worse for the environment.... that's good bureaucratic logic right there..lol

regardless, they will pump out that oil, and it's gonna get used one way or another. Why not make that oil being burnt not so toxic? that's good logic right there

I remember hauling 5 huge bin blocks on a bumper pull trailer in a 2015 6.7 Cummins. The bin blocks were about 4k-5k lbs each roughly. The truck and trailer were definitely over the weight rating. I tell you this dodge did 70mph on the freeway. I know it was not smart and all. Probably shouldn’t have done it! But the cummins took it like a champ!

My 2006 5.9 tows a 7000 pound travel trailer like it it has a flea on its back. Bye the way it’s stock with only a smarty jr. In tow mode . Easy to fix , and like you said parts are cheaper. But if you’re gonna tow heavy the 6.7 is the way to go , both trucks are great in my opinion too 👍🏻

Paul Hefterich I heard they get clogged up and have to get cleaned out to pass the smog test. People delete an cover egr and stuff , but I heard there cracking down on aftermarket companies for making things to get around the def stuff. 6.7 in my opinion is a great truck , the environmental morons are trying to make a work truck into a pulling pinto.
