I did the same thing on my studs and a year later one of my head studs snapped. Apparently the recommended tq is within the limits of the material. The heat cycles will cause them to fail over time if not right away. 8:35 except I went even less over at 145. I have a similar build.
The smoke at idle could be the head gasket also. I just blew my fire rings head gasket smh and only have 3200 miles on the motor

Thanks man! And yes the s364 has a t4 housing! And I'm pretty sure it has a .90 housing
The truck you and your buddy test drive was that a 5.9 Cummins or a 6.7?

Could be something wrong with injectors or your cp3 cp3’s are reliable but not invincible

I'm thinking, its either the injectors, or maybe, my truck has the wrong piston heads. The engine was rebuilt, but I'm not sure by who

Nice I got my head pulled doing port/polish/ fire ring and arp625 and hope bottom ends hold for whilie, how much is a full billet 48re cost

Damn nice build! I'd love to get my hands on a 5.9 Cummins and have y'all do what you do best. Unfortunately for now I'm stuck with my mk4 jetta tdi with the alh which is a beast in it's own right. It'd be dope to see what y'all could do with it for sure.
