5 1/2 Week Old Rescue Squirrel At Rehab Class
Molly (5 1/2 week old fox squirrel) made an appearance at the squirrel rehabber class. She is doing really well, and is large for her age! She just opened her eyes yesterday. When she reaches about 16 weeks she will be released back into the wild. She was orphaned at about 3 weeks of age.

Thank you for saving this precious life. I cried a lot when Minnie passed away. It's very nice to know Molly is doing very well.

I was very upset when we lost lovely Mischief Minnie too. I'll always remember her 'gargoyle" pose when she perched on the opening of the nest box and surveyed her territory...with that mischievous glint in her eye.

@@ciaomiku z She was indeed. When I said gargoyle I meant her pose reminded me of one of those wonderful figures on the outside of Notre Dame cathedral in Paris.

@thedativecase9733 Because english is not my mother tongue, I had to look up what gargoyele means. And it made me smlie because Minnie's pose looked exactly like them.

Oh my goodness, look at how big Molly is getting, and she is just so calm. Rehabber is absolutely doing an amazing job with her. Can't wait to see up close again when you get her back, thank you for sharing with us greatly appreciated

So glad to hear she's doing well. She does look pretty big there. Nice to see her wanting to explore; maybe she recognized your voice! I'm so glad Minnie was able to provide her a little head start in her journey.

Yes. The plan is I will get her after releasing Mia and Leo. Then I keep her until she is about 16 weeks before releasing her.
