Nice going, 5000 miles on the Ninja 650! Fall season quickly turning into Winter soon, but Spring will be here eventually. Good point that there might always be a faster bike, but this bike is still plenty of fun. Faster isn't always better. Enjoy!

37 500 miles on mine (2017) No real issues, and it blocks me from going higher than 132mph which in my case, is a good thing. Longest trip was 1000 miles in one day, with a few rest, and although you can feel your bump sore, the touring side of it made me happy. I got Yoshimura full exhaust to get rid of the lawnmower sound. Where I live I could be arrested for being too loud, but when I'm in residential area or near cops, I don't twist the throttle so 7 years no issue, except speeding tickets. *For your arse, if you want quality, Airhawk 2 air seats cushion.

Thanks for the real-world review; comments on the traction control, fuel economy, ergos (love that seat option!), etc were really helpful. The Ninja with the Ergo-fit Extended Reach seat seems like a great all-rounder. Easy to ride means you'll ride more often. Woodcraft bars for those that want even more sport ergos.

Love my '21 Ninja 650 in Grey and black. I agree with everything you said in your review. I didn't hear anything about the trans and shifting which is super smooth even without a quick shifter. I can quick shift mine though and I've done it a few times and no problems. This bike fits me really good and is light enough that I have no trouble controlling it. I only weigh about 130 lbs. ready to ride and I am 85 also but this Ninja, is like Goldilocks, it is just right.

Hey dude! Sweet videos! I own the 2022 version and absolutely love it. I've owned it for a little over a year now, and it's still just as fun as it was when I first bought it. I threw on the TST fender eliminator kit, short levers, and integrated taillight. The stock exhaust blows, so I installed a Two Brothers SR1 exhaust. Personally, I love the sound of it now. It's very gutteral and unique. Ride safe, dude🤙

Btw man the herky jerky is a kawi trait I feel like. But apparently Moore mafia’s tune will get you a bit more hp and tq, it’ll keep pulling all the way to red line, and it’ll get rid of that jerkiness completely. Plus you’ll get back your hp and tq you lost in removing the stock muffler and then some cuz he’ll tune it to the new muffler. Worth a look

Yeah dude I've seen those moore mafia vids and they really show how much they cripple the response from the factory to meet emissions. If I were to pick one of these up I would have to have the ECU flashed, but not to hunt for a power, just to have it running like it was meant to, I already have an older 600 for all that, I'm looking at this as a comfy light weight sport tourer

That 650 is not only fast enough for most riders, but it's also a very comfortable bike, the handle bar makes you sit up a bit more. The Ninja 400 is the more aggressive riding bike, which by the way is also plenty fast for most riders. I have the 400, which is the most agile. The 650 is the most comfortable and great for all day riding. The 636 is a bike I would not want to ride all day long and the the most aggressive of the three I have.

Just bought a 2024 ninja 650 abs to upgrade from my 19 z400 abs. I dunno if it is the model upgrade or technology on newer bike but it's like a totally new experience. Granted I'm still in the under 250 mile 4k max rpm zone. But had to check out what 115 felt like after doing it so many times on the 400. 😍

Just a thought from myself, as I just bought this bike, but I invested a little more and bought the 2024 650 KRT ABS edition. Set me back around 11 grand total. That being said, my original thought, which it's kind of funny to me, I have ridden for around 5 years now. Two years on a scooter, three on a 87' Honda CX 500. My insurance through progressive is around $90 a month and I haven't had any accidents or anything. I think a big part of insurance is time riding/driving without accidents/claims against your insurance that are your fault.

Italy here! I had that bike, 2023 model, and I traded it for a Honda CB 750 Hornet. Same price, but waaaay more stuff: 92 hp, 4 riding modes (1 customizable), anti-wheelie, traction control, self-returning indicators, quick-shifter, and maybe more. It's way more agile, here in Europe roads are narrower and full of curves. For me, a lot more value for money with the Honda.

I had a CBR1100XX years ago and hitting 160+ mph is an overrated experience. It’s fun the first few times but to me the low speed handling of a bike like this doesn’t get old. With missile bikes you get desensitized to the speed to the point where the joy of riding at sane speeds just wears off.
