Bearfoot Theory The only change I would make would be not adding the side windows because I would be looking for more of a stealth camper-type look for sleeping in built up areas. But otherwise, I have seen dozens and dozens of van-RV home made conversions online and I like yours the best. Hope your travels are all you need them to be...and safe. Peace.

Bearfoot Theory Well, your way is much homier and if you are going to be off road most of the time, stealth is irrelevant - I would think. Take care.

I've seen a ton of full time Vans, But, Your Set up is by far the best I've ever seen !!

I think I've just watched this video for the 6th time! Lol. This is honestly my favourite sprinter van in the world! "Van Life" seems to be such a big thing these days, so of course van conversions are all over the internet. Out of all of the ones out there based on this size, yours is definitely THE BEST ONE! :)

I agree with Gen, I've seen hundreds of van builds on KZread and I like your van the best. Your unique layout is awesome, and very well thought out. I love the idea of getting a van and doing something similar, but am afraid to step out of my comfort zone and make the financial investment. Do you have any regrets ? Or miss the comfort of a normal home ?

Gen Smiley I 100% agree with you! By far hers is the most open & spacious by leaving the full walkway to the end of the van. Such a good idea for living the van life. Also, for having that extra long shower hose to go outside that she could use to wash her clothes. My favorite detail was having the small potted plant hang from the window. Uh, I just love it!

By far the best layout I've eva seen.....you're a genius! !!!

I've seen lots of Sprinter fitouts but this is the best thought out and it looks great

I've seen hundreds of videos of sprinter van conversions and I have to say that this one is my favorite! It looks really simple and it has space for a lot of stuff. I mainly love the fact that you have a shower and a toilet.

Looking at how it pushes in, I can't see it fold anywhere. Looks like one piece when it slides.

Go to 1:47 in the video and freeze it. You can figure it out by studying the picture, , the bed slides out on tracks, like a drawer track. When pushing the bed back, it looks like the mattress pushes up against the wall, forming a L shape, , the two pillows on top are back rests. At 1:51 you can measure the depth of the couch pushed in, against the width of the back of the drivers chair. It would be nice to see a full on "how the bed works" video though. Super van!

This is one of the most spacious van conversions I've ever seen. They have been popping up alot on my recommendations list and I always end up watching them lol

I was already impressed by the lay-out of the van before suddenly out of nowhere the shower and toilet appeared! very nice. I love the desk/bed area overlooking the big door opening. Great job!

I've watched A LOT of van life videos over the past year. But this one is still my favorite. She managed to comfortably fit all the normal amenities of a small apartment. This is the van I'm emulating as I design my own.

As a 35 year cabinetmaker/installer I can say sweet job on the van build. I will be traveling very soon in a standard size Dodge half ton van really small but it is what I own and costs my nothing but gas and insurace. I am planning to tour the western US states starting in a week. I expect I will be on the road for a year.

Yea, I'm super happy with having a bathroom. So much more convenient than going outside in the middle of the night.

"Down here I have..." while reaching for the drawers at the ceiling xD. Probably the coolest van I've seen on youtube so far!

The interior has many yacht characteristics which is great and something I'm going for in my future build. The folding bed is a great idea and the uplighting is exactly what I was thinking of doing. I'd use more of a polished wood for mine and leather curtains to closer mimic a yacht.

Yoooo! A full bathroom in a Sprinter!? This is amazing.

yesiownfrodo oh I'm sure it cost you less than buying a turn key ready made camper van. But the camper vans built by a German co. Called Hymer has some really amazing tech. Like radiant floor heating fired by diesel, with no propane at all in the picture! They are new being built in America in license with Hymer, at an American co. called RoadTech! That build on the Sprinter and Ram ProMaster vans. They have the best most advanced solar tech and battery tech out there! But you seem to have done a really nice job!

Okay, now THIS is my favorite sprinter van conversion.

It's nice to see a conversion van with a shower! So far this is my favorite set up.

I like many things about your conversion, but I don't think you have much privacy with those thin translucent curtains. They don't cover well and if you have a light on inside at night, you can see right through them. I would suggest a medium weight fabric in black or a dark color and a white or pastel interior lining. This would be total blackout from the outside and light reflective on the interior. You can also buy thermal draperies in dark colors with a white thermal lining and adjust the fit. In really cold weather or extreme heat, using reflective in your windows can also help.

That's about right.

This remains one of the best conversions that allows walking through the full length of the van. The most popular set-up seems to be having an elevated bed in the back that prevents this type of walk-through. One advantage of the layout here is that it makes the interior seem more like a room than the inside of a van.

I sold this van and now have a new sprinter with a raised platform bed. I much prefer the platform bed. I also got the longer 170" van, so I didn't really lose any living space. I have more storage, don't have the hassle of making the bed and storing bedding everyday, and still have a very comfortable area to hang out. Happy to share more thoughts on my comparison if you have questions.

I've seen a ton of Sprinter conversion van videos out there but this one is laid out perfect in my opinion. it has a very nice open feel to it yet it has all the amenities that one could possibly ask for and yes that does include the shower and toilet. great job on this

Kristen, this is a great video. This is a terrific Sprinter 144" van interior. It is SO ROOMY, the table surface area is large and the bed is close to the floor. Great kitchen faucet & cooktop. It's a truly livable space. When I get mine I would probably replace the interior bathroom with an exterior shower and more storage.

I have to say, this is the best van/sprinter rebuilt I've seen. Really well thought out. I can actualy see myself living in there.

This is my dream! I've been looking at different models of camper vans because I eventually wanna travel all 50 states and what better way than back packing and taking your home with you. This is a great built, I like the 4x4 function and the option to have a desk or a roomy bed.

This is like my ideal setup. The van life has intrigued me for a while now...

I thought i found the #1 van configuration but I was wrong! I love your configuration the most. I would also have a thule roof rack on the top for more storage because I need more storage for my military bags and i also would have bigger side windows.

Brilliant design on the van, Kristen. I agree with keeping the aisle clear and most of your other points. Even with the compromises on shower, it's still one of the best I've seen.

This is still the best bed design in a van I’ve yet seen.

My favourite conversion so far it's nice too see a reasonable shower tbh and not the solar shower and it doesn't feel cramped love it! Need the plans lol

Of all the van living concepts I've watched I find yours the most appealing and I've watched A LOT of videos. I think leaving the back open makes all the difference. I also love the use of the repurposed wood planking. Great job and very well thought out!

Your van looks spacious and cozy. Incredible that it has a kitchen and bathroom and still maintains this feel. You did a great job designing it.

This is one of the coolest van tours I’ve ever seen WoW! I am astonished about the fact that I have been contemplating about doing something which sounded so crazy at the time (still sounds crazy to everyone I know except me). Suddenly I’m bombarded with these videos, Pinterest stories and lots of cool looking images. Thanks for the inspiration as it continues. Not decided for certain which van, what layout or theme, but I’m working on it.

You did an awesome job designing this van interior. That's the most breathable conversion I've ever seen. Good job taking the chance to put the kitchen on the rear and the convertible bed on the front. Also smart move for choosing to use so much shinny white : it helps making the space feeling larger and higher, and makes dark woods pop. That small Sprinter looks bigger than longer ones. Really neat job too.

Really nice conversion. I think this is the route my wife and I will take because you can customise to fit your life better. For example we want to be able to store two folding bikes inside so we can build it to accommodate that better.

One of the best uses of space. I like how you can sit and work with that sliding door open, Watching the view.

I am designing a roadable airplane/seaplane that have fold out camping space from panels off the wing with shower, toilet, etc.. Thanks for the share of ideas. It is hard to make everything work well and have low weight. Being able to live in the vehicle is not easy also, especially when water issues are considered.

I think your van is the best I've seen, if I was to have one I would use your design.. The bathroom is what I was waiting for the most. Being able to bath is one of my main concerns. Awesome.
