What a phenomenal swim in the last leg by the French. Omg!!! Stravius - what a beast. This has to be the best comeback ever in a relay! Most exciting relay (although I loved their 2012 Olympics win too).

It was good. Lesak's comeback against Bernard in Beijing 2008 and France's revenge in the 2012 London Olympics (Agnel vs Lochte) were just as good. Also, Stravius may be good, but Gilot is the boss.

Fabian Gillot on the third leg for France was electric. He really set Stravius up

This was the race that made Phelps reconsider his retirement after the 2012 Olympics. He was in the stands and visibly angry at the result. He vowed to win the sprint relay back for the USA and he accomplished it in Rio.

Sickest relay of all time! DAMN ITS EVEN!!!

Stravius is just amazing especially underwater. Put him on the 2008 team in Beijing and in my opinion they beat the U.s. by a full second.

So exciting..The comentators speak abou the french only at the last 50 meters...We says in France.; Impossible is not french.. and after Agnel, it was nearly impossible..

Like in 2012, excepted it was france who won in the 20 last meters (Agnel vs Lochte, remember?)

+christo ba not in the sport of swimming. The US are, then possibly Australia. Unsure of where the French actually stand. You dont become the best just by winning a relay.

From who? If you're asking about any of the individual splits, the fastest here was the 3rd french swimmer who went 46.90......but, the fastest split *ever* is by an American called Jason Lezak who went 46.06 at the 2008 Olympics in the 4x100 free relay.

Shinoda908 Yannick Agnel went the same time in the anchor leg during the relay in London, i think they both share the fastest split in textile.
