I think the new bumper looks great man!

I've owned a pretty good handful of trucks...but my 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 with the 360 was by far the best. Obviously newer interiors and features are nicer...but the 96 still had that old school feel before everything got all techy. It felt raw and powerful, even tho the new hemi has way more power. It just felt masculine as hell. To get on topic tho...i really love how that 4th gen bumper looks on this truck. I agree with whoever commented about putting LED headlight tho.

it's way easier to put the brackets on the bumper first then mount it on, easier to adjust and tighten that way! done this on mine enough to know lol

TrollMaster300 duramax is the best the hell with these 2nd gens

I like the look of the 4Gen. Bumper on the 2Gen. But clearly you lose a lot of Bumper protection in the switch. I only get rid of a bumper to move to a better (safer) bumper.

Garry Gorham I was thinking how nice some new headlights would look on his truck, and maybe a bit more black too. That's just my opinion though and I think his truck is very nice the way it is.

how is a nut a bolt... ? a nut is what you screw onto a bolt, they're two different parts

Time for some new clear headlights and clear corners

These OEM 4th gen bumpers are getting hard to find, and the ones without sensor holes seem to be rarer than hens teeth. After looking for 6 months, I had to settle on one with sensor holes also. FYI, I found Hillman 1 1/8" chrome hole plugs at Lowes fit perfectly. They also now sell sensor kits on eBay for like 30 bucks, so two ways to go.

In my opinion it would look a lot better if you painted the wheel wells black again but it's your truck so do whatever you want but nonetheless that 4th gen bumper looks great

Coulda used a ratcheting wrench, assuming you had those tools available. I mod my truck quite abit, I invested in buying lots of different kinds tools, because I didn't like needing to borrow tools all the time.

just cut and splice in new and longer wire to make it work. cheaper then buying a new harness

Just splice the fog light harness mine is spliced

I like the older style and it kills the bueaty of a 2nd gen front end. It goes along with why I only kept the LED light bar on my square body s10 for a week. LEDs don't look good on older style truck's same goes for bumpers and mirrors.

Why not just splice and butt connector the wiring harness.....

Give u an A for effort but they way you installed that bumper was completely backwards ur making it alot harder to align the assembly if u bolt the brackets to the truck first. Supposed to secure them to the bumper then align the hole assembly to truck

TheWalkingPotLeaf hes just doing all that for the drama to get views if he changes the tune to stock and takes the tuner out it will pass smog just like that mine does easy and it's about the same setup

Just splice in some wire to make it longer. Like a 2 minute fix.
