I run mines 4S, on stock motor. I will eventually put a 2650 Surpass/Rocket motor in it and gear up.And maybe a Vendetta Spur gear.

Wow that thing stayed cool as a pillow I’m impressed was just running my mega brushless infraction and was hitting temps around 170 so heat sink and fan Incoming and you and me have the same old school temp gun it was a hand me down but it works good lol😂

This is perfect 👌 I've got 4s bat's waiting to go, I've been using max 10sct for a while, all I need is 5 minutes from work so I can run it. I've also got a 2850kv surpass and 20t pinion I wanna try too but that'll be too fast to bash I think 🤔 Props to you hitting the ramp at speed, on grass my man!!! 👍 😎

I have the Mega version, it's beefed up to run 6s. Hot racing metal diffs, metal 3s slipper clutch assembly, metal drive shafts, metal center drive shaft, metal steering assembly, skid plate, big bore shocks. Powered by max8 paired with 2200kv off brand motor. It's a f**kin rocket on 4-6s. Honestly I could've just bought the 6s like the guy at the shop told me to 😄🤦🏾‍♂️and I probably would've had better performance but the journey was fun🤥🥴

Dude, I'm impressed you can hit that ramp at speed. Have you ever tried the ZD buggy wheels on it? When I had one, I loved those wheels on my typhon. 4s is their limit, and they made it do wheelies on 3s. The traction they had was great for all around driving and you can't beat the price all 4 for 30 bucks!

i put the electronics from axial ryft into my typhon 3s so it is now a 2200 kv 4s with 27t pinion

Nice driving Jay Tee. The Typhon on 4s is awesome. Same for the Granite. I enjoyed watching both of them in action. Even if something isn't recommended, if it works, why not. I have seen other videos of ESC upgrades without replacing the motor and they seem to be just fine. Low motor temp readings. I have limited knowledge about motor ratings but honestly if the temp is good and the bearings hold up what could be the harm? Thanks for sharing your findings.

I have finally oreder the $700 of parts to take my Typhon 3S to another level. New Savox Servo, castle Mamba X EsC and motor combo 6S, RPM suspension arms, DX3 Reciever / transmitter, badlands wheels & tires, steel Spur gear, steel differentials, steel input gears, and hot Racing aluminum center drive shaft. Will run this rig at 4S full potential for Track. All in all when all parts installed this car has cost me a little over $1700 including charger + 4 batteries...OUCH

Loose is fast and on the edge of out of control. The better handling, usually the slower.

I've never put a GPS in my typhon or my big Rock, but when I drive them I feel like my typhon has more Speed because it's way more planted and controllable at high speeds. My big Rock when it was stock was really squirrelly at high speeds. Now I run Mohave tires on it on 4s and it's way more controllable at high speeds.

I honestly can't remember. But there's several free apps you can download to your phone I just kind of don't recommend it cuz if you crash there goes your phone LOL

I went 6S castle X ESC, with 4S Mumba X motor, but running 4S or 3S batteries, and is gonna be epic (Waiting on parts to arrive)

@@vapeapetn my outcast 4s has a leopard 3670 4s with a 130amp spektrum... my bigrock still going strong with a 120amp spektrum an stock motor... my 6s typhon has a 1900kv spektrum motor an 150amp spektrum esc an my tlr tuned has max8 with a 2200kv all absolute rippers

The stock motors needs a fan cooling it if you really want to run it for any length on 4s but other than that they love it. It will also eat differentials and driveshafts until you put the upgraded ones in if you bash it on 4s.
