Check out the east tactics mega fan video. It will almost make your outcast hoover a few inches off the ground, lol. It is the tires on the MAXX that have too much sidewall flex causing it to swerve all over the place when going over 25 mph. I put the Proline Badlands and the Trenchers on my MAXX and it solved that issue. It now runs on rails and goes straight as an arrow.

Guy i have a mAXX v2 and have had no issues like that Mine had taken a beating with no issues

Now that’s a nice running spot wow, I like those sand hills. Hmm both trucks have their problems. I really don’t know which I like better. I sway to Traxxas because the parts support is better here 🇨🇦 but Arrma stuff is great too. Hopefully these manufacturers take a note on channels like yours and others, the real testers in my opinion. You drive like I do. And you speak your words no pushed or paid for. So we get a real life review and opinion. Thanks Guy.

Brother tell me about it, in 2016 I got a VXL Rustler, that thing broke left and right yes I was kind of a newbie but I had to put a butt ton of money into it so it wouldn't fail and then in 2018 somebody told me about the V3 Arrma Talion that just came out and I never looked back don't get me wrong I'm sure they're good rigs nowadays but I just can't go back to plastic chassis

Bad luck at Diamond Dust. The RC KILLER!💥💥💥

Maxx need metal driveshafts. Outcast 4s need better pin hold down, Guess all 4s need some fix from manufacturer on those driveshafts.😂

It did! It my experience is a weak point with the Traxxas Maxx's as the same exact thing happened to my wife's original V1 before it went wide

Reliability seems to be a major issue on this 'new and improved" stunt truck. Do you think it's due to yours being a pre-production model? Does Traxxas have these same problems?

No but that depends upon how abusive you are 😂🤣 you just got to remember to buy the right vehicle for the type of driving you're doing that's all sometimes and don't expect too much from something without upgrades. The V2 for me I can only speak on the outcast is my favorite vehicle in a 4S platform

If I ever get an arrma I'm driving straight into a metal post I'd never do that to a Traxxas I'm going to tell the real truth about arrma they have a bunch of playing everything their arrmas screws are never tight people are lying when they say they're the best cars well this is also KZread they're doing things for views in the real world people don't really go that hard on the cars they're doing it for the video. My local hobby shop only has two arrmas and they've been sitting there for over 2 years they sell about two traxxas's daily people love traxxas's arrmas are for the trash

My max kept doing the same thing when I ran it in any kind of dirt.. definitely thinking about getting the new 4s armma recently bought the TLR Typhon which is my second RC! Love your vids and information about RC!

Thank rc car garage arrma his fun reviews got me to pick up 2 big rocks in last 2 weeks. Ime currently shopping for my next bigger basher ime watching his reviews for best one for my usage with my son. I snapped the driveshafts on my maxx 6 or 7 times before stumping up the cash for the steel cvds. Frustrating

My 1:10 Outcast threw a wheel, and the nut was still totally there. WTF? It had so much torque that it destroyed the plastic wheel. I'm currently spending $100 a week on repair parts for that thing, but damn it rips. You have failed to convince me that I should be running Traxxas instead. lol

It is the tires. From the vids I've watched of people running them, wether on pavement or dirt, it does sway like the Xmaxx on stock tires. They run the same way on the Hoss which is the one that originally came with sledgehammers. The only way to stop it as much ,if you wanted it to run straight, was to up TSM. I think the Sledge is probably the best rc on sledgehammers. Now Traxxas does gear their stuff in more for off road to toss around in cornes and flip rotation as proof with the Xmaxx tires and now the sledgehammers. Arrma let's you run pretty straight on road and off, even with tire ballooning. And to me the best tire on all but 2 6s Arrma RCs are the backflips. Perfect for the Outcast/Notorious, of course, the Kraton and Fireteam.

I can honestly say that Maxx V-2 is a monster i like how it got up that hill my truck never broken. Big snow ice jumps in the winter skateboard park bashing no lie I can't wait for it to break so I can upgrade it like I do all my Rc Trucks & cars with arrma bad bearing problems right out the box brand new I'm going to stay with traxas for my RC monster trucks Great video.

I'm still glad I got the V1 as I got to enjoy it sooner and prefer easier flipping being slightly shorter in length than V2. I still would have modded it anyway. I have proline 3.8" belted badland tires,8990 light kit,2085x servo, 8996X steel shafts with their alumium splined hubs and nuts and HR racing bellcrank. But even right out of the box the V1 was a very solid overall MT IMO and the toughest I've had so far. I also had the original e-maxx back in the day

Think about diamonds crushed into dust and possibly the damage that that dust could do that's why it's called diamond dust

Upgrades for my Maxx V2 include the V2 Revo aluminum stub axles and nuts, metal driveshafts, Max 8, a roll cage, GPM spur gear cover, and GPM motor mount. My only problem now is that the lower and upper bulkheads in the front and rear crack with time and big 20ft plus jumps. I didn't mess with those plastic hubs for long either. I have Traxxas aluminum front and rear hubs and c hubs. So yeah, I have like $1k into the damn V2 Maxx to make it durable enough! 😂. Hopefully you get that driveshaft issue fixed with the V2 Outcast 4s.

@@rcguygarage Instead of the pin and lock ring, find a 3mm screw and lock nut and put it through. Just have to make sure the nut and head of the screw dont interfere with anything when its spinning. I know i had to order small lock nuts when I put the 4s center brace on my big rock

@@nicksdroid63 yes I get you in the repair video that I did on this I was going to go that route but it didn't work out I didn't have the correct size that I felt comfortable with and I am still trying to give this thing a shot factory stock without that type of modification yet for me I would consider that a hack mod which is a positive thing because they work but in this testing process I didn't want to go outside of that box too much until Arma sends me the revised part which I believe is on the way as a mysterious tracking number showed up in my mailbox the other day

I've had good luck with my 6s exb, first rc I bought in February this year. Now I have almost 20 trucks n cars. Only thing I've broke on my exb was wing screws come out. My worst purchase so far has been the vorteks 3s, they should have recalled it lol

Funny story we've all had those dog days and its above 103 degrees in the Dallas area. So my piece of crap father when I'm like I don't know maybe 18 years old. He's a dead beat that had a car lot. It's like year 1999 so he gives me this super small 1907's ish 2 door piece of junk. When I leave his lot to go back to school I hear I feel a wobble..I call him he's like it's nothing. Let me tell you, when cars passed me on the freeway the car just rocked and cabbage patched! LOL So all the sudden the driver's front end on the left just... I hear this huge CRASH..I'm on the freeway, so cars are zooming by me, I was in the middle lane. All the sudden I'm seeing sparks from axle on concrete over the hood! lol and at the last moment like in slow motion, my freekin wheel is hopping beside me, I'm staring thru the drivers window at it as I slowed down..bro it took off! OUT OF SIGHT!!!!!! Needless to say, our relationship didn't workout..but when i saw that wheel...I had to give you a good laugh..LOL Tomorrow is a new day to bash.
