Wasn't the actual wheel hub that broke, just the cap assembly bolts snapped off.

steering stop bolts. i put aftermarket plastic caps over mine that a guy on ebay sells. they last a lot longer than the stock plastic caps that break away in less than a year. once those plastic caps are no longer covering the steering stop bolts (which are on the front knuckles), then when you turn to lock, the metal bolt heads make contact with the control arm metal when you steer to lock, which will make an awful grinding sound if the suspension does even the slightest amount of movement during that time. mine would do it cutting the sharp turn needed to get into my driveway cause I'd steer to lock then the bump of the gutter/ramp would make the sound wake up my roommate lol
