They share our gestures too.., and are highly cognizant at a very early age.. Noticed that the baby seems to be smiling at times while looking toward the camera. Kids voices in background. I believe that the baby is smiling at the people / kids.

Her depth of awareness as she surveys the crowds should leave us unconscious and numbed out humans in awe. You have NO idea just how aware this sentient being. Absolute pure.

I can't tell you many times I've watched this, I know a least 25 times a week for months and I never get tired. It's like therapy for me. I'm 72 years young great grandmother and I love the mother's eyes, how loving she is and that baby..takes my breath away. 😊😊😊✖💯

JR O Actually zoos like this are great because Orangutans are being killed because of the palm oil business. Zoos preserve make sure orangutans don’t go extinct. Also, zoos take great care of orangutans and give them a good life. While yes it would be best for them to live in the wild, zoos have a purpose.

I was just coming on to say that. Mama is so proud that everyone is admiring her baby LOL. In a perfect world, they would in the jungle and not relegated to a zoo. But I just finished watching a video on orangutan School. It was awful seeing how many of those babies are orphans because their parents had been slaughtered.

I love the way she look at her baby and she kiss him ❤ ❤ ❤

They all love their babies so much they let them get away with hair tugging, pushing their hands and feet in the mother's faces, making excuses because they are only babies, more human than human and with so much love. I just eat meals everyone can find it . There is no reason to show veganism like a diet . It is more likely a philosophic idea .

I love this heartwarming footage so much that I frequently return to watch it over & over, & every time I see this beautiful orangutan Mama cuddle & then tenderly kiss her baby, my heart literally skips a beat or two...

#1 mama orangutan ! I can clearly see that how much she loves her baby .. so precious 🥺

At first i was only looking at the baby, but then i was looking at the mother and her eyes. You can almost tell by looking in her eyes how sentient and smart she is. Amazing really.

It's depressing that these majestic creatures are being systematically eradicated by human expansionism. It's all i think about when i see these videos. SMH damn, what a loss.

Yes, that's very depressing. It's also depressing that whenever there's a beautiful great ape video, many people HAVE to mention how we're destroying them. We know. I think almost everybody who watches Orangutan videos knows they shouldn't buy the palm oils responsible for deforestation. They know people should stop buying baby gorillas.. It's depressing af. Just try to enjoy this wonderful moment of this living, curious mom and daughter orangutan.

If you love these amazing primates, *please make sure your groceries are not destroying their habit (and our planet) by refusing to buy anything with palm oil as an ingredient. Palm oil, even “ethical “ palm oil robs these beautiful creatures of their home. Most all biscuits/cookies lots of chocolates, ready meals etc contains palm oil which does destroy the rain forest* I make the simplest cookie/biscuits 4oz porridge oats 2 Oz sugar 2 Oz syrup 2oz butter ( melted) Then whatever you like to flavour. Ie, chopped nuts, chocolate chips, fruit, peanut butter, candies/ sweeties like M&Ms, Mix it all together, Put dollops of the mixture onto a baking sheet, Bake for 15 minutes max at a high temp (sorry, I don’t know all the temperatures) 10/12 minutes is usually what my orangutan friendly biscuits/cookies take. You’ll work it out.

Thanks for the recipe -sounds good! The many, many recipes passed down in our family don’t call specifically for palm oil. I don’t know why so many processed foods have the stuff nowadays. I guess it must be really cheap in bulk. It’s the rainforest and its animals that are paying a terrible cost. Baking “from scratch“ for the most part isn’t as hard or time consuming as people might think if they haven’t done it , and it’s something many kids enjoy helping with and learning. And it includes practical use of reading and math. If you have freezer space you can make a big batch at once and freeze for later.

julie Wallis tell me, besides buying and eating pure butter, what we can do for what’s called “vegetable oil or spread”, which is a substitute for margarine? I cannot find any that does NOT have palm oil as one of its main ingredients? Why doesn’t someone make a sub for margarine that doesn’t use palm oil? It’s also found a lot in chips, potato and tortilla.

Their eyes are so human-like....very expressive.

I'm actually watching Steve Wilkos, on tv, as I'm watching these videos on my tablet and it's an episode of a chicks 9month old baby that looks like a 4m old and has a broken leg, she's saying her baby fell from a baby chair and her own weight broke her femur, just waiting on the lie detector results, I hope if she did it she goes to jail. She obviously needs to be watching these ****************** Yep, she failed for hitting her baby causing bruises, welts, and marks and she did break her baby's leg.. Jail time
