★ 4K 🇮🇹Tirano - 🇨🇭St. Moritz summer cab ride, Italy to Switzerland [06.2020]
In this video, we look at one of Switzerland's most beautiful and unique railways, the Unesco heritage listed Berninabahn - for the first time on KZread in 4K in this direction. Our last trip in this direction was in Autumn and with the aim to show this route in every season, we now bring you Summer.
The Bernina railway sets a few records, including being the highest railway alpine crossing in Europe (2253m), the highest adhesion railway of the continent, the open air railway with the greatest height difference (1824m) and furthermore one of the steepest adhesion railways (conventional railway without cogs) worldwide, with gradients of up to 7%.
A unique aspect of Switzerland's narrow gauge mountain railways is the mixing of passenger and freight wagons in a single train, with wagons often added or removed at intermediate stops with shunting locomotives. On the Bernina line, the cargo mostly consists of wood on stake cars and derivatives of oil in tank cars.

Hola. Soy de Montevideo capital de Uruguay en América del Sur. Tengo 70 años. En ocasiones varias escuché a personas, hablando, contando viajes maravillosos que dan al ser, el espíritu de aventura tan estimulante y necesario. Dado la situación económica propia, jamás pude emprender alguna aventura siquiera dentro de mi país. Al día de hoy, todas las mañanas, preparo el "mate", caliento el agua para el termo, junto algunas galletas, sintonizo la tablet en KZread y la coloco en un soporte a modo de "ventana" y entre mate y mate (costumbre uruguaya) emprendo este mismo viaje en el Bernina, por los Alpes tan vistos en mi época de niño. Nada más que ahora, a mi modo de apreciar las deslumbrantes vistas... al costado del mismísimo conductor del tren. Gracias sinceramente a aquel o aquellos que tuvieron la genial idea de colocar una cámara en el ventanal parabrisas del tren. Gracias a KZread por admitir estás "genialidades". Y gracias por permitirme viajar virtualmente aunque sabiendo aprovechar la tecnología, en medio de esos Alpes, disfrutando las panorámicas vistas, cómodamente desde la cocina de mi humilde hogar. Sé que hay otros viajes filmados en esta modalidad. Sin embargo, "éste" es el que hago casi a diario. Tremendamente... GRACIAS.

Such wonderfull memories doing this train ride. Loved Italy, the food out of this world and Switzerland. No words it's such a beautiful place. The scenery, the food the sounds the cheeses. The sound of the cow bells in the mountains. 40 years ago but never forgotten. Thanks for bringing the memories back to me.

Ich bin bisher schon weit über 50x in Österreich auf Führerständen mitgefahren! Tag und Nacht,Sommer und Winter (Wien-Salzburg-Bregenz,Tauernbahn,Brennerbahn,Mittenwald-und Außerfernbahn sowie Wien-Villach-Lienz und etliche kleinere Strecken in beiden Richtungen) aber dieses Video übertrifft prakt. alles!!! Was das Fernsehen bisher über die Berninabahn gezeigt hat ist eine wohl eine sehr müde Sache gegen dieses wunderschöne Video!! Eine Eisenbahn der Welt !!! DANKE!!! und viele liebe Grüße sowie gute, unfallfreie Fahrt weiterhin !!!

Vielen Dank!!! Auch von mir sehr herzliche Grüße in unser wunderschönes Nachbarland!!! Seit ich das 1. Mal in der Schweiz war (1971-Maturareise: Chur-Bellinzona-Madonna del Sasso-Lugano-durch den Gotthard-Vierwaldstättersee-Küßnacht-Zürich-Winterthur-und am Südufer des Bodensees wieder zurück nach Vorarlberg) ist die Schweiz für mich ein Sehnsuchtsland!! Später konnte ich auch Bern,Zürich und Luzern bei einer Städtereise genauer bewundern und einmal war ich mit dem Auto über die Via Mala und den Julierpaß in St.Moritz von Feldkirch als Tagesausflug. Auch Österreich kenne ich sehr gut aber leider ist vom Wiener-Raum aus der Weg in die Schweiz doch ein wenig weit.Speziell Graubünden.das Wallis sowie das Berner Oberland aber auch das Waadland am Genfer-See könnten siche noch schöne Ziele sein. The train ride from Chur to Tirano is one of the world's greatest scenic journeys. The view from Alp Grum is breathtaking.

Ça fait la 3ème fois que je regarde ce magnifique voyage, deux fois en hiver, c'est spectaculaire que les train puisse passer avec tant de neige et une fois en été ça change de paysage c'est riche en détails, la Suisse est un pays extraordinairement beau.

Wij hebben heel mooie herinneringen aan deze trein. Op een klein gedeelte na hebben we alle trajecten van deze trein afgelegd. Zwitserland heeft wat mij betreft een van de mooiste spoorwegnetten in de wereld. We hopen nog vaak terug te keren en dan reizen te maken die we tot op heden nog niet hebben kunnen maken. Once I drove by myself that route starting from Bormio where I had my breakfast, then to Tirana-St. Moritz and further, 300km. It was August so I decided to have a look at the Berninapass. Absolutely no traffic, only bc all motorcyclists were having a rest at the Berina Hospiz. If you can't/won't drive by yourself, the train will do it for you. It's worth.

O modal de transporte pelas dimensões do país, deveria ser focado nas ferrovias, pois o relevo do Brasil não ultrapassa os 2 mil metros de altura, e não haveria acho eu, tantas dificuldades de nossos engenheiros planejar nossa malha ferroviária. Claro que haveria de ter um belo investimento em nosso sistema elétrico, para a produção de energia limpa para os trens. Bem, sonhar não custa nada. Um Abraço!
