Where is this in Japan? I searched Ginzan Onsen on Google maps and it looks like it's near Sendai. Is that right?

Biggest city nearby is Yamagata. I believe trains from Sendai go through Yamagata anyway. It's doable from Shinjuku with a transfer to the Yamagata shinkansen in Omiya.
