The mazes at six flags are getting a little better but the actors flat out ruin it. That's where six flags always falls short. Some of these actors need to just stop opening their mouths or six flags needs to pump up some music or ambient noise to at least drown it out so it doesnt carry through the whole maze. "Get out" "out" "*vommitnoises*"

TheNegativeImage couldn’t agree more. the actors also need to stop lingering after the scare. You scare then reset for the next group. Also yes, actors saying “get out” and “do you want to play” need to be banned from haunted houses haha

According to MintyStyrofoam -- higher up in the comments section -- their experience was a lot different. Apparently, the actors are just getting a feel for the maze in the video.

Martin D. That or the actors lose their voice after day 2 or 3 and rely on cough drops. Hopefully they find their niche before October or the trainers figure out to tell the actors they shouldn't be screaming or yelling all the time.

Unfortunately the first night effects had to be toned down because there were technical issues. If you do return and see us again soon, the noises are much louder and we are working on turning that fog back on! My room has been working much harder on props and other ways to use scares, and it's turning out pretty well. Sorry you didn't enjoy the video so much, and I hope if you come see our maze soon you'll enjoy it!

This is a bit better than the other houses so far but there could still be more done acting wise. It's just kind of sad.

The "actors" are so cringeworthy it makes me embarrassed FOR them. Yikes. Super uncomfortable.

It's not the easiest theme to do. We aren't monsters really. We're people who are supposed to have been stuck in a sewer plant for 10 years. Although the theme is sort of random I must say, we have had a lot of success so far. Please come check us out in person, I hope that you'll enjoy it if you do. Any feedback on here I'm taking with me for next weekend to work on improvements! The maze is a lot of fun to work in though, and although you are right about it being uncomfortable, the outcomes are really awesome. I appreciate your commentary here and I hope we can make some major improvements so that this maze can succeed :)

I will be participating in a haunt in the next coming days as a Character who scares people. And Watching this is wow.... Where do I begin. 1.When doing a haunt you "NEVER" ever tell guests to get out. Which of course is the rule for our haunt. 2.Always scare the person towards the Attraction Exit, which is the end of the Haunted House, never scare them backwards, that'll just block up the person traffic and make it hard for other guests to move. Don't know if I can think of any other tips for this video, but keep up the good work.

The reason we are telling the guests to "get out" is because we are supposed to make them feel very unwelcome. We have been in the sewer for 10+ years and that is our home. We don't want those weird clean people in there. Although I feel that many of us do need to work on some more lines to spice it up a bit, "get out" is a general part of our theme. Thank you for your tips and commentary, we'll keep working hard :)

Well, we’ve got the “get out!”. Waiting for the “fresh meat” “boo” “rawr” and pig snort “growl”.

Used to work @ SF Discovery Kingdom and I remember working a lot of nights during Fright Fest. I wasn't necessarily working in the haunted houses because I was a ride operator but after my shift I went with my coworkers to the haunted houses they had during Fright Fest 2016 and tbh it wasn't scary @ all. Mostly the actors just said the same thing.. very redundant and took away from the "haunt" itself. The only decent thing ig was that they were Killer Clowns and I think there was a chainsaw but i'm not too sure about it. The location of the haunted house itself gave it an eerie vibe because it took place of the White Water Rapids ride but all in all I didn't really enjoy the haunted houses during Fright Fest and I haven't been back ever since then. Maybe things have changed maybe they hired better seasonal actors for this year's FF. They usually hire the same actors every year so maybe there wasn't any change @ all. The FF themes don't change only the haunted houses but the way they "scare" is the same but one thing for sure is not worth me going back to FF again.

I think the maze was lacking on music or sound effects. All I heard was screaming and yelling. But that bridge and 2 sewers were pretty cool.

They really don't give them much direction huh? "You're a craaaazy person! Act real craaazy!" It's not like Universal or some of Knotts where they have a character to play and special ways to scare them, just shriek at guests and stand awkwardly in their path. It's pretty much just an indoor scare zone.

At first I was like mehh nothing special at all, but it got better as they went. Actually saw some different things you usually don't at these haunted attractions...so yea def cool an little impressive for sure.

If you compare this to universal studios Hollywood, you can see how there is a story line. However in this, it’s just a bunch of jump scares and very minimal theming. It’s better then some of the other mazes the park, but still kind of sad.

honestly a really good concept, but it was nauseating with the 3D glasses. if they toned it down a little bit or removed the 3D glasses, it'd be really, really dang good (coming from personal experience)

So the designers put in a laser swamp but no fog for it to work? It's just a green laser in the room. It needs fog to reflect off of for the laser swamp to function correctly. Devils advocate maybe there is fog just none at the time this was filmed.

If you want to go to a great Haunting event Come by down to a petrified Forest in Florida. We will have two Haunted Houses that will Co-exist with the theme of it. But that's all I can say. I am under a contract of that I can't spoil the whole thing. But you are welcome to go to the website, and buy the tickets from there or buy them from our Haunting Area. See you there.

Listen, these Halloween attractions that use these kids yelling at you just aren't fun nor scary. It's just lazy on behalf of the park. If these "scary" rides aren't at least 90% automated-it's a joke imo.

  • @charmenietraumtor5671

Look I agree that it's not scary but can we maybe not put that 80% of people out of a job because of your desire to automate? Hard enough to find paying jobs. Idk. Maybe just my feels speaking. But I do know it's entirely possible to be terrified based on the actions of actors...tho most cases thereof that really leave a lasting impression tend to be the hands on torture kinda thrill ride i.e. McKamey Manor.

I have no idea if he is on the staff, but I am one of the actors in this maze. I'm sorry you feel it was pathetic. It was our very first night when this was filmed, and we are working very hard to make improvements. Many of us are seeing the commentary on these videos, and we take them seriously so that we can figure out more ways to make this maze even better. If you do go through the mazes at our park, I highly encourage filling out those satisfaction surveys and voting. Our first night earned a unanimous vote for best maze in the park, which means everyone who did vote had voted for Sewer of Souls. Please if you visit, let us know how we are doing. I hope you can have a better experience with our maze going forward :)
