[4K] Norfolk & Western Steam on the Strasburg Rail Road
Norfolk & Western 4-8-4 611 operates on the Strasburg Rail Road for one more day in May 2023. This 1950-built J-class locomotive has taken residence at Strasburg for two years, and would return to Virginia just days later.
Operated on this day as well is Norfolk & Western 4-8-0 475, a 1906-built M-class locomotive. The 475 has been part of the Strasburg steam roster since 1993.

That trip with their Norfolk & Western 611 and 475 was really awesome back in September 5th 2021 that I had back then. I am going to return back at the Strasburg Railroad later this month for their Day out with Thomas event.

I was there that day! I was filming that train at the Red Caboose Motel at 0:35. And that’s me in the Gobblers Knob car at 1:28. (My hand sticking out)

The runarounds at Strasburg station, Cherry Hill and Paradise all use spring switches.
