[4K] Itaewon SAMSUNG Family Mansions (feat. Song Joong-ki & BTS Jungkook) in Seoul, South Korea
Hello everyone!
Today, I depart from the Hyatt Hotel in Namsan and walk to Itaewon Fire Station Intersection. It is called ‘Namsan Castle’ because the mansions of the heads of large corporations such as Samsung, LG, and SK are gathered.
The houses of the late Samsung Chairman Lee Kun-hee and three siblings form a single housing complex within a huge wall. Around the mansion, there are buildings with support, security, air conditioning, and communication facilities for the family, as well as Samsung Seungjiwon, a kind of guesthouse built as a hanok. The Samsung Leeum Museum of Art is also located behind the Grand Hyatt, so this area is sometimes called another Samsung Town.
There are also quite a few celebrity homes in this neighborhood. There is also an old house that BTS Jungkook bought for 7.6 billion won (about 6.45 million dollars) right next to the Samsung family mansion. It is a red brick walled house with thick trees and covered with ivy.
Before going from Hyatt to Samsung Town, I stopped by actor Song Joong-ki's 10 billion won (about 8.5 million dollars) house. Although Song Hye-kyo and her husband bought this house a year before her marriage, the reconstruction work began a year after her divorce. It was noisy for a while due to protests from the residents against the construction of the alley in front of the house. It wasn't under construction when I went, but it wasn't even finished.
Embassies are often seen among the magnificent mansions. Even though Itaewon Hamilton Hotel and Gyeongridan-gil are right next to each other, it is a quiet and solemn luxury residential area.

BTS singer Jungkook is officially an owner of a property in Itaewon, South Korea. The South Korean singer reportedly bought a home in the plush locality a few weeks after he sold his luxury Trimage complex apartment, back in October.
According to Etoday, the singer bought the house back in November. The property is described as a single-family, which means a detached or a standalone house, and was reportedly built back in1976. The singer shelled out ₩7.63 billion KRW ($7,050,940 USD) for the house.
The house constitutes of two floors and is spread across 230.72 square meters aka 2483 square feet. As for the location, Koreaboo reports that the property is situated about five minutes away from Nine One Hannam. Veteran BTS fans would know that area is also known as BTS’s dorm. The publication pointed out that JK's new house is smaller than BTS’ dorm. "The smallest size at Nine One Hannam is 75 pyeong," the publication said.
The house's location falls in a diplomatic district which is popular among foreign diplomats and residents. It is reported that the house is close to the Kuwait embassy, the residence of the Indian embassy, and Samsung Seung Ji. "It is known that even now, it was chartered by a foreign company,"
Etoday reports. Many celebrities like Rain and Kim Tae Hee already have homes in the affluent locality of Itaewon. Park Myung Soo and Hwang Jung Eum are also a few celebrities who recently purchased properties in the locality.

제가 이태원 삼성 이병철 자택, 이건희 집무실 저 한옥같이 생긴 집에서 짐 옮기는 알바 해서 들어가봤습니다 4달전에 1층에 동양화 병풍같은게 있는데 그걸 오른쪽으로 밀면 엘리베이터가 나옵니다 그 엘리베이터를 지하로 내려가면 진짜 웅장한 (천장높이가 4~5m)에 거대한 회의실 같은게 있고 이병철 거대 동상 그리고 이병철이 골프할때 홀인원한 골프공 3개가 액자에 사진과 함께 보관되어 있고 일본어책 엄청 많아요 책장을 당기면 엄청 긴 복도가 나옵니다 그복도를 따라가면 다른 건물로 연결되어 있습니다 그리고 저 건물 뒤쪽에 의자랑 테이블이 있는데 서울의 풍경이 단 하나의 장애물 없이 보이고( 롯데월드 타워도 보임) 밖에 연못도 있습니다 정말 엄청난 경험이었습니다. 샹들리에 지리는거 있고 특히 벽면에 나무는 전부 일일이 손질되어 있고 화장실도 개지림( 불키는 버튼이 나무로 되어있음) 거기서 오줌 쌀려니깐 뒤에 관계자분이 밖에 따로 근무자 전용 화장실 있다고 싸지말라고 그랬어요

여기 살벌한 동네임 !! 내가 이태원하우스120 오른쪽밑으로 일반 빌라에서 잠시 살았었는데 120사는 주인이 아래로 내려다 보다가 우리집 옥상이 지져분하다고 민원들어온적 있었음 ㄷㄷ 이쪽라인에 비해 오른쪽은 비교적 일반 빌라들집이 많은데 살다 살다 자기보기 않좋다고 남의 집 옥상을 지적하는 사람들 처음봤음 ㄷㄷ

Me encantó su video, interesante aún estas zonas no cuentan con aceras para el peatón, belleza de señalización 30 km velocidad permitida hay un gran respeto por el peatón según vi, ahh las alcantarillas están cubiertas me imagino que las destapan en tiempo lluvioso. Que bonito aún conservan la arquitectura antigua, y esa combinación de lo antiguo con lo moderno es tremendo. Los pocos postes de energía si que están recargados con alambres y bastante cortos de altura aquí casi miden de 6 a 7 o + MTS.. muy bonito paseó, se aprende mira que casi todo va muy apretadito. Ohhh vi claveles, no sabía que al clavel le gustará lo helado. Ahora veo porque en los dramas usan bastante eso de que alguien salva a otra persona de ser atropellado por una motocicleta. Quizá no llueve muy torrencial pero me admiro de las pendientes del terreno. Hermosa ciudad muy limpio y ordenado.

It's nice to see diversity with the architectures. There are modern houses and then bricked once. Others are a bit traditional. And I like seeing cafes on the first floor of office buildings. But may I ask if it is common in Korea to not have garages?

That pasrt of Itaewon.. Is literally very different with other part of Itaewon. There is a good Cafe in that area which is I like.. And sometimes I went there.. And the vibe is very... Weird. Quiet... Mysterious, etc. The other part of itaewon is more lively... Music, food, etc

Might look ordinary houses for foreigners but those houses in that particular area are owned by celebrities and successful entrepreneurs. When travelers visit Korea, soon they realize a majority of tall buldings are apartments and get shocked by how much they cost. And then, they say they don't understand why Koreans'd love to live in an aparment. Well, this is why. There's a limited land in Seoul, especially in the main central, whereas there are 22 miliions of polulation in this city. Building an own house is way more expensive and thus only the super rich can do so.

@@d3wi_r4tih He for sure spends time in his own house. Otherwise he wouldn't have gone through the trouble of selling his apartment to buy house to have more privacy. They probably stay together during filming and promotion time, but they're all adults who need their own living spaces.

jungkook living luxuriously, as the king should!
The houses are all walled up in concrete and even with a modern facade, it’s does not look welcoming. Privacy seems to be the overriding factor for its design. There are no gardens or yard that can be seen. No trees or proper walkways. Space is really limited even to the very rich. It probably looks modern and beautiful on the inside but the outside is understated and austere.
That Maybach at the start must have someone of high importance in it they way the man bowed to acknowledge whomever as the vehicle rode by
I recently moved into a larger home and I hate it. I found myself only staying on the main floor. I thought that I wanted a bigger house until I actually got it. I can't fathom living in a home this big.

My parent's house is pretty large. And whenever they went out of the country, I need to look after the house all by myself. Some rooms and extra toilets are useless and you still need to clean the house from top to bottom. Because the house is big, you've extra cleaning to do. I'd rather have a smaller house with nice decorations.

Why would you want a big house with garden if you don’t have any kids or didn’t living with your parents, partner or siblings. I would use extra rooms for nieces/nephews whenever they come over for BBQ, family sleepover, or party. I have this one aunt who is rich, we LOOOOOVE her house in Sweden. Shes East African married to Swedish man and had adult children around my age; my cousins. They have their own lake in front of their house so they do kayaking every summer. It’s like their summer house where their kids come to visit every summer.
Jungkook really wanted privacy haha you can't see anything inside. I wonder if he is going to renovate it to live there or sell it later

이태원동 한남동도 남산자락에서 내려오는 산공기가 있나요? 성북동은 공기가 너무 상쾌하던데

이태원이나 한남동 주택가에서 남산의 상쾌함은 그닥 느껴지지 않더라고요!😅 그래도 아파트촌에 비하면 많이 쾌적한 편이죠!😉

바로 옆에 매봉산이라고 한 150m짜리 산이 하나 있는데 거기서 내려오는 산공기가 좋아요

@@wanderplanet I was actually curious about that coz in my country there are places you are not allowed to film, like your video those places are of the affluent community, their residences actually
For JK's house, it's either the one with black doors or the one behind the red bricks wall. It's 2 different houses and the house behind red bricks wall is connected to the embassy.
