4K HUGE TRAINS CLIMBING SAN TIMOTEO CANYON, Raw Power & Scanner Audio!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

The latest video here is about massive, powerful trains traveling through San Timoteo Canyon. I also included some awesome audio with the drone footage. Be sure to turn up your volume so you can enjoy the full effect of the train audio. I had a great time this weekend, so sit back, and enjoy the ride!
The first 2 Z trains go by the Upper San Timoteo Canyon crossing (MP555) near Hinda on the Yuma Subdivision of the Union Pacific Railroad.
After that, we move down the hill a few miles to MP552, where we find a monster stack train down on it's knees, digging into the grade, going uphill at 13 MPH! You can hear the raw power in the audio. It sounded great! It was cool watching all that tonnage climb the grade. Had about 230 cars!

I don't know if it was the camera on that drone of yours or just the perfect light but those container colours just popped. Loving your stuff. Subbed.

I like to watch trains at the Alessandro crossing just west of where your video was shot. About two weeks ago, UP started to put more engines on each train. Instead of 4-2-0, the configuration is now 5-2-0 or 5-2-1. The 11AM trains really fly through the canyon.

You're a good drone pilot, I guess it has something to do with your RC experience. Regarding the open containers, I suggest calling UP's 800 number which will enable them to check out the train. We did that on our last Tehachapi trip since there were at least 20 or more containers open.

Is there an app where you’re able to “track” trains through the country? Something like aviation app where it shows the planes flying in real time with trip info

I wish there was! Like Flight Radar 24. I just use a radio, and you can look at the signals. The big thing that helps is I look at the webcams out in Tucson and Tacna, on SouthWestRailcams for trains comming West this way. Thanks for watching.

Three leads, 2 mid-train but no pusher. Kinda odd but that's just me. What's scary are the power poles being so close to the roadway. What's the idea of that? Anyway, nice piloting, I didn't feel a thing.😉 Thanks for the video.

The first train was a Z Train, high priority, so those are usually powered up with more engines to make track speed. The 2nd was just a standard service Intermodal. Those and Manifests are usually given just enough power to crawl over the hill. Thanks for watching there Shep.

I pity that poor person in their 🚘 car at the grade crossing waiting for the train to pass. What if it was an ambulance 🚑 or a fire🔥 truck? What do they do? Just stay there for the rest of their lives? No wonder that the driver tried to beat the locomotive at the crossing. thank you 🧑‍🎤 🏁 👩‍💼👩‍🎓

I'm not sure why the FRA allows class 1 Railroads to operate these massive ten mile long hot Z trains.. Well, I'm exaggerating about ten mile long container trains, but two to three miles long is just way to long... I guess technology of operating DPU locomotives in a consist of a long train makes it happen....... And you know what's funny😂? I like seeing these massive long trains, especially Union Pacific, but wouldn't want to be stuck by one on a grade crossing...
