When I was a child, I saw batik and tie-dyeing on TV. I felt very magical at that time. Throwing all kinds of white cloth into a large water tank filled with blue water one by one, and it turned out to be the beautiful printed clothes. If I operated it myself, I don't know what it would look like to dye it.
This time in Mingyue Village, I heard that DIY can be done here. Now that I have a chance, I must give it a try.
This is my FIRST wax batik work (originally I wanted to add some tie-dye, but later I found it impossible to do it). the dewaxing was really too much trouble ~

Batik is very famous in my country and hometown, we even learn it at school 🤭. At certain day a week, government workers are compulsory to wear batik to work. It's also a formal wear for official or formal functions.

What is the name of tool you use for applying the wax? very interesting and where can i buy it? it is very different with what we use in Indonesia for applying hot wax. We use canting which is made from brass or cooper.

To make this dye, a plant called Radix Isatidis is fermented through a special process. Its magic is that according to the time of soaking, it will show different levels of blue such as light blue, sky blue, dark blue, blue and black.

I don't know the name of this pen. It may be a pen often used in making batik. It is composed of two fan-shaped copper plates. It should be to get more wax and make sharp corners more accurate. I think I can find it by searching the batik tool, and everything can be found on Taobao. Thank you for your love of my video.
