{4K} Free-MoN N Scale Layout at the 2023 Amherst Railroad Model Train Show

Join the Free-Mo (N) community as we run at the annual Amherst Railroad Hobby Show in Springfield, Massachusetts! This is the second time that Free-Mo N has been set up at this famous show. Please enjoy some of the trains that ran for the weekend across a few of my own modules and other members' modules!
*note, if you do not wish for the background noise please mute the audio. Otherwise, keep an ear out for all the sound-equipped locomotives on the layout!*
Most of the trains you will see running are trains from my personal collection. These include the BNSF "earthworm", UP OCS, and my ARZC Power

Lot of really nice shots,cool trains
Definitely brings back memories of the railroads I have built over the years and have had to sell to move. Now I have none and no money to build another. Retired but no funding to build. Sure enjoy watching others in the hobby that do. Great video Thank you for sharing..

These are some really nice trains. Was awesome to see a circus train. I also enjoyed the graffiti box cars. These little N scale locomotives can pull a lot of cars. Very impressive. Thanks for sharing.

We will defiantly be back! Not sure if we will be as big or bigger next year but defiantly bigger than the 2022 show, which was our first time at Amherst

Great modeling, but please, can N scale get away from beer car trains? Didn't we leave that behind with Ntrak? Great to see N scale not run at bullet train speeds. Well done.

Thank you! The 410, 3998 are both custom painted models. The 4001 is an old Intermountain release, they produced the 4001 & 4003 years ago.
What kind of ballast is used on the modular sections ?

The majority of us use Arizona Rock and Mineral N scale ballast.

Too many giant humans
Not staying for the whole thing, but already noticing a lot of sags and not great water and other things that are breaking the illusion for me. I'm just an observer offering feedback, for me the best layouts offer some level of illusion to trick my eye to make it look real. Not enough here for me.

Yup! DaBob had his first Free-moN module in the layout. I dont remember Sparky stopping by the layout, I caught up with him while I was over at the Mini-Prints booth
