This parade has a great soundtrack and very colorful floats. I think this should be WDW 50th anniversary parade. (If they have one)

Not sure what to say beyond...WOW....just excellent from start to finish. Brings me right back to my own experiences at Disney World in the late 70's! Enjoy this Japan, honor and preserve it. Bravo one and all!

Seriously why is Disney World the only Disney park(s) to be so limited on entertainment? Disneyland has far more entertainment for guests and they've only opened about a month ago. I read that DW is scrambling to hire for restaurants and food booths and so on, but no word on returning entertainment at all.

They don’t want big crowds for WDW. Especially since Florida has some high cases right now

@@Disney_101 I doubt all of that. I just looked it up and cases at a low unseen so far. There's no proof that disney doesn't want big crowds. Especially now that they as of the same day Orange County mandates were removed and Disney is adding tables to dining with people so much closer together.

WDW is LAZY and late with everything! Plus they HATE entertainment! Like, look at how many people they fired in EPCOT for no reason!

Because WDW is run by Bob Chapek, amd and hates anything expensive, so he doesn't like paying performers and actors, so he doesn't put as much entertainment into the US parks. Meanwhile, Tokyo Disney is run by OLC, which cares much about the guest experience and entertainment, so they put a lot of effort into the parks and entertainment

In regards to Tokyo, I figure it also helps that the Japanese follow instructions without complaint. If you tell guests to sit a few feet apart to see a show safely, they'll do so and you'd have little trouble enforcing that. In America and Europe you'd constantly have people try to sit in the empty spaces anyway, possibly throwing a fit if they're asked to sit somewhere else because "why, that rule is ridiculous, I paid a lot, my child needs to see the show from a good spot, I won't walk to a different spot, etc". A huge part probably does have to do with Bob Cheapek being stingy, but it's definitely easier to do a safe show if cast members don't have to deal with guest entitlement on top of it all.

What the heck seriously did they like lose half the speed or something as these were faster in the past. At least fast enough to cross the bridge in 30 seconds not five minutes. What the heck happened or did they not grease enough.

Because Tokyo keeps promises. (Disney originally promised that in their parks outside of the US they will do English music as they are an English company. However, as times have gone on things are changing.) So yea!

Part of it is for simplicity’s sake, part of it is also because part of the entire schtick with Tokyo Disneyland since 1983 has been that it’s American and “exotic” in the eyes of its target audience. At first, most shows were performed entirely in English, but that has been scaled back since the early 00s to having Japanese dialogue against ~90% English songs.

It's like in France : a lot of songs in english. I think songs should be 50% in the local language. It's good to hear another language than english.
