The best place in Marjan Island Ras Al Khaimah for family and kids friendly Hotel. At first, we have bad experience in Doubletree JBR from the valet staff and in Doubletree Ras Al Khaimah for the customer service few years back. Today, its our 3rd time to stay in Doubletree Hotel by Hilton and we are going to give honest review to help everyone who are planning for staycation in this hotel. Please be informed that these review is base only for our experience and we truly understand that not everyone has the same.
We arrive around 12:19 noon which is early for 15:00 pm check-in time. From the valet, the staff assist and greet us politely which are different to our experience in JBR. We went straight to check-in counter if possible to get our room earlier than 15:00 pm. Mr. Woyston in the check-in counter, help us to have the best location of our room and giving discount for the additional lunch buffet for 2 adults and 2 kids. After check-in, we need to wait for an hour as for Mr. Woyston to make the room ready. While waiting, we decide to eat our food that we grab on our way and because of that, the waitress informed us that it’s not allowed to bring food from outside. We apologize for not knowing that they have that kind of policy. After a while, there’s a family newly arrive where they are sitting almost next to us and they do the same, they eat their food from outside and imagine, no one stops them or informed that it’s not allowed to bring food from outside even do the waitress and waiter are passing by to their table where they seated. We wait not an hour instead almost 2hrs before our room ready and because we went back to check-in counter to follow up. We truly understand that the Hotel are busy but what if we did not follow up our room, meaning no one will call us as for Mr. Woyston, they will give us a call when the room is ready.
The room was clean and tidy but in 2hrs of waiting, they forget to refill the shampoo. First night, we have our dinner in the Beach bar which they serve food as well, but in the 2nd night we are surprised that the bartender informed us, that they don’t serve food anymore. They have policy that always changes, not knowing most of the staff are not aware of it, seems everyday they change I think.
In lunch time, the waiter refused us to occupy the table for 6 while most of the guest occupied the table for 6 even they are only 3 or 4.
Upon check-out we never realize that we forget the iPad charger of our daughter when we reach home. Normally the hotel staff will informed you or call you at the moment they find something to your room. But instead we are the one make a call at the Hotel if they found iPad charger to our room, which is in good hand already of Lost and Found Department.
If you are looking for a kid’s or family friendly Hotel, Doubletree Hotel by Hilton is one of the best choice in Marjan Island Ras Al Khaimah. But in the other hand, if you are looking for the best Hotel in customer service overall, with freedom to enjoy your stay and the facilities, you read our story and hoping it helps to guide you if you will consider this Hotel to your next staycation.
