I must have seen another contra cam at some point, but I'm not sure I remember it. As a contra player from over 30 years ago, watching this video brought back great memories. I had forgotten little things, like what reflections look like in the bell of the contra, but it was all so familiar. Marching drum corps was such a great experience. I only marched one season, but I still sometimes can't believe I did it (Cavaliers 1988). Thanks for the memories, Connor.

Jackson Otis: There are lots of options for getting dues paid. Lots of guys in The Cavaliers are sponsored by alumni. If you want to march and can make the cut, they’ll work with you to find a way to pay for it. If you really want it, go get it. I did. It was the boldest thing I ever did for myself.

Lucky Stiff possibly one more, One of my friends from 2017 asked to use my GoPro for the victory run and this is where that came from. I was Boston’s videographer this past season so I don’t have much if anything of SCV.

It is a life experience. Plain and simple. You’ll never forget it. I’ve only marched a single season thus far (with Genesis on Lead Bari in 2019), and am contracted by Phantom Regiment to march Contra for 2020/21. No matter what group you join, I can guarantee, it’ll be something you cherish forever. I already plan to tech for DCI in the summers, to stay involved with it my whole life.
