4D Model Kit Star Wars Imperial Star Destroyer - Overview and Impressions
I picked up one of these kits at Costco for $14.97 last weekend. Is it any good, was it hard to build? Let's find out!

Really appreciate your detailed experience explained, rather than just showing the final model like so many reviewers and saying, “It’s nice.” 😎
I built the millennium falcon and Boba ship without glue because I didn't want to make a mistake and I agree the instructions suck and the tabs can be an issue I do like how they are still pretty well held together!
Thank you for your detailed review. I just ordered one, and it should be here soon. At least I know what I'm getting into LOL! I was thinking about lighting mine, but nah. That'd be just more headache. Yours looks fantastic, and if I get mine to just your level, I'd be happy. I've built my share of Bandai kits, so I think it'll go well. Once again, thank you for the review and tips. Take care and have a nice day.
Man, the profit margins on these at the original price must be really nice.
What a ... ! My parts were partially not punched through from top to buttom, so i had to push the parts out from bottom to top and cutting with a sharp knife . Otherwise you tear the printed part off the rest! It sucks.
Cool model. 👍
Having worked in a corrugated fibre packaging (cardboard) factory making boxes for around 9 years, that looks like what they called 'E' flute, the reason being is because it looks a bit like Pans flute, E is technical but it's something to do with the size of the corrugations.
Yes I am building exactly the same one and I'm having the same clicking into the clips they are bending
I was happy with the Falcon. Just starting this one and did the TIEs first lol. Yeah just get extra glue and keep a xacto knife handy for some holes being a bit too snug... Also kept a mini flat head screwdriver to guide difficult tabs to holes occasionally. I'm going to recreate the scene from ROTJ where Lord Vaders shuttle flies to the Death star from this star destroyer and hang it from my ceiling. Just got to get a death star model next.
i just bought head in the razor crest, i love the size, but yes the instruction is really not spoon feeding us, bare mininum. Also really agree on those parts where the connector tabs are misaligned and all, some i had trouble putting in and it kinda split and bend the tabs so bad that it's weak to hold joint
If you already armed the ship, can it be disarmed normally?
Where would I be able to find a pry tool and the plastic... spudger? I think that's what you called it. Could I find stuff like that at a Michael's? What would you recommend?
I'm trying to find the printer to make my own
So, should I glue the entire sides or just the edges?
I ran out of the glue supplied for the X-Wing and Falcon kit, they only provided one tube, what kind of glue can I buy to use to finish the kits? Just regular elymer's White glue?
Did you do the mjolnir one? I’m stuck and can’t find anything anywhere on the internet to help lmao
They are like 60 bucks online, where did you get them?
Thats crazy how cheap it is, in Australia the same model is $125
How was it so cheap?
