Watching this from Appalachia mountain in Georgia on Tennessee and North Carolina border. I am shocked at the retro fascination of 1980s in another country. You guys have the Duran Duran hair cuts of the 1980's. This gives me hope.

Some big cams would make a huge power difference I bet. A ton of overlap and get that lumpy idle 😎

you can street tune your own cars lads, its just another skill, just need a wideband, and make up a DIY set of knock ears. Pretty sure Seb already has the know how..?

also for cheap engine mods for power, porting is good, with a few old heads from a junkyard get some practice, its basically free and can give good power. Also consider bike carbs or custom ITBs, not so much power benefit but they help with response and 'feel' maybe $150 to $200 (if you have the tools). The best bang for buck is 100% gonna be engine management tho having better tuning capability is whats gonna give the most advantage over stock easily stuff like newer stock ecu with COP or wasted spark and better fuel management (this could also be aftermarket but newer stock stuff is cheaper). this is for small NA engines but most NA engines will be the similar we all know the best cheap performance mod for a car is the back seat blanket, lets be real thats why that car is fast. the built engine and new tune are really secondary to the blanket.

I have an 1983 ae71 which is the Sr5 hardtop body in the us. It has the 4ac engine. Ive been looking to swap a 4age and I'm seeing a lot of reasons to do it here. Thanks guys.
