I remember i had problems with my own corolla which also included taking out the engine twice cause one cylinder lost compression then had wiring gremlins on and off for about a year straight. Corolla now is running perfect and have done 2 drift days without any big problems. You'll love it when its running haha and thanks for the content

Engine building is so stressful yet satisfying. Lots of things that can go wrong if not done right but when done right, it’s very rewarding

Legend if you ever have to start an engine again - get oil pressure first by disconnecting spark and fuel system! You just pump the engine over until light comes on! Mint car though, hope it's running sweet!

Dude I did the exact same thing when I jacked my rolla up, straight in the pan 😞

Jack slipped off the crossmember and onto the oil pan, oof, been there! Bet you'll never do that again though! Also pro tip to stop you from melting bearings, take out the fuse or relay for your injectors and crank it without it being able to start so it can get oil pressure. Since the oil pump will be empty it can take a while to get oil pressure after a fresh rebuild. Good luck :)

Spigot bearings are a real pain , took me a whole week to get my gearbox to meet up to the back of the motor . Glad you got it all sorted , I would have given up at the bent sump .

Cape York* 😂 Dude the last 700km to the tip are corrugated dirt roads, and you'll need some clearance or a high tide to get on the Jardine River Ferry. But totally doable in a Rolla I want to do it in mine. Need to go April-September in the dry season up here but. Might be keen to join ya 🤙

@@BADDTIMES definitely not possible until April earliest. In the wet season the highway floods for months straight and towns get their food by barge. Not to mention the 40 degree nights haha. It's pretty wild north of Cairns definitely need good weather, clearance and spare parts

ahhhhhhhhhh watching the engine build gave me the hebegebies. i hope you checked the bearing clearances off camera (i know you dont have a bore gauge) with plasti-gauge or something because having oiling / oil pressure problems isn't good. i know this sounds like a pain in the anus but you should probably go ahead and check those clearances If one or more bearing clearance is wrong that means catastrophic bearing failure i.e. new crank and connecting rod(s) and if its super bad even a new engine.

The block was taken to a machine shop and everything installed was recommended by them. Not to mention that one of our best friends is a professional race engine builder who helps with everything we do. A 13 minute video can't possibly show you all of these details, so please don't worry so much lmao
