It’s interesting that you brought up opening this as a family…. One of my most precious memories from childhood was my sister and I rushing to my mom’s room after our bath to get a spritz of perfume from her Victoria’s Secret set. This was the mid 90’s and all the fragrances were in little glass bottles… it felt so elegant and special. ❤️❤️ this would be such a fun advent to share with kiddos.

What a lovely box - I wish they'd given you the festive scent as the big one for number 25 - that would have made more sense to me:)

Ooh, a full size ginger biscuit would have been so fun!

Just a recommendation with the Wood Sage and Sea Salt if you have a love/hate relationship with it: layer it with some of the other scents. It compliments so many JM colognes and gives them an extra boost of freshness. Plus, it is so light that it doesn’t hinder or overpower any of them.

On the advice of a salesperson, I layered Scarlet Poppy and Wood Sage and Sea Salt. She gave me a sample bottle of the Wood Sage because I wasn’t totally sold when I was ready to check out. After wearing them layered a few times, that’s my new go-to scent. Normally I wear really light scents like the Bluebell, but I love this combo she gave me.

They’ve all gotten soooo expensive. I was lucky enough to tag along on a business trip w my spouse to Paris in fall 2018 and the dyptique calendar was about 400CND then. I did buy the calendar in 2020 and I think it had gone up about 20% in price then. I looked at it this year and it’s $200 more than in 2018. And it isn’t vastly better or bigger or different. Still love these tho!!

I feel like the price of life on this planet has doubled in the last 3 years. If you look at the M1 money chart, you can see the obscene amount of money they printed which basically cut our money in half. Pretty sure we have psychopaths and alcoholics in charge of our monetary policy. 🤣

I wish these had more exclusives! Like you say at the end of the video, you have to be a Jo Malone fan to like this calendar, buuuut if you're a Jo Malone fan, you probably already have (or have tried) a fair amount of these. One of the things that keeps me going back to that Bonne Maman jam advent calendar that sells out every year is that it contains such unique flavors to try that you can't get anywhere else.

I made my first Jo Malone purchase this holiday season. I got the 9 ml mini set that came with 5 of their top sellers for $115 and then Macy's (probably a Jo Malone promotion) was giving a 2 mini set and mini hand cream. So for $115 I got 7 different minis and a Peony and Blush Hand Cream. I had a sample of Peony and Blush which is why I was looking at Jo Malone in the first place. I'm so glad I purchased the minis as an introduction to the line because the DNA is very much the same throughout and I know their intent is for you to layer and find your perfect scent. My holiday layer choice right now is Orange Bitters and Ginger Biscuit. So good. Clean and spicy gourmand. I don't know how they do it. You have so many scent possibilities waiting to experiment with that set! Have fun!

Without having started the video, I hope, hope, hope there's Pomegranate Noir! I've had it for years and love it. No one recognizes it, and I get compliments galore, but definitely fall/winter scent!!

I just got that one recently and it's really unusual! Pomegranate Noir and Myrrh & Tonka are my favorite cool weather JM fragrances.

I didn't use them, but I love that you take the time to put timestamps on your videos.

This would be perfect for me! I love the experience. And I love to get to smell a large quantity of " fancy" perfumes. I am awful about blind buying perfumes solely because I want to smell them. 😕

I think it’s a really cool calendar if you love different scents and the brand. I think it was a good one.

This is one of just a few advent calendars I bought this year (also bought SpaceNK and Liberty London -- UK advent calendars ftw!). I think it's worth it! Jo Malone products are so lovely and I can see myself using these products year-round as the seasons change. Those little Jo Malone 9ml perfumes retail for like $23-$33 each so I think the value for this calendar, while not over the top, is there. Probably only worth it if you really want to try/own a bunch of fragrances from the Jo Malone line, but this one worked out well for me. :)

Try layering another scent with the wood sage and sea salt.

My Jo Malone jam is Tuberose and Angelica. See it rarely mentioned but I get ridiculous amounts of compliments when I wear it. It’s my go to summer scent. Makes me excited for the sun.

This seems like a good advent calendar! A few of my favourites in here 🥰 scarlet poppy, poppy & barley, love blackberry & bay but haven’t tried the hand cream, and nectarine blossom & honey was my wedding day perfume! Personally I’m not crazy about wood sage and sea salt & peony and blush suede which I know are their top sellers. Also love that they added their holiday scents of ginger biscuit & orange bitters! What a nice calendar over all.

I have my fingers crossed that you will do the M. Micallef advent calendar!!! If I hadn't already purchased several new perfumes this fall, I would have snapped that up. I've been watching the daily reveal on their insta in envy.

I would never splurge on any of the lux advent calendars. I'm far too picky regarding what I like and don't like! This is way too spendy IMO.

Joe Malones pomegranate Noir smells like Christmas in a bottle

This is probably the only advent I would splurge on. It has a lot of the scents that I love. I have the Orange Bitters Cologne while I love so the candle would be nice. Wild Bluebell was the first Jo Malon fragrance I ever bought and I panned it in a fee months. I feel the same way about Wood Sage & Sea Salt - I used to like the scent and now not so much. I have the body wash and I hate it lol. It’s very cologne heavy and doesn’t have the nuance that the cologne has.

This I would not mind.

Hi Lauren! Merry Christmas. I have a quick question for you.... i recently bought the JHAG Sunnyside Up, i know its one of your favourite scents. So my question is do you find it to be very light and somewhat airy? i swear it almost disappears from me 10 minutes after spraying. I love the scent, it's all the notes i love. I just find it so very light. Is it just me? what are your thoughts??

Not a JM fan. I have wanted to smell Ginger Biscuit and Orange Bitters though. By far the MFK advent calendar was my fav video of this series bcus it came with full size products.

I wear Chanel Coco, do you know anything about them discontinuing this fragrance, i bought a Parfums and a jar of lotion, but it real limited what i can find from Chanels Coco. My favorite for years.

I wood love to split this with my daughter.
