yeah lmao, people are just dumb ngl. Those youtuber optimization videos are mostly ass, they do not know what they are doing. The only reason he gets that performance is that laptops mostly have a 1366x768 screen. + i wouldnt trust some random dude, that does not even know wtf he is doing to handle me some .reg files and some .bats. It just probably will get my pc fucked. EDIT: oh, i forgot to mention that nvidia 3D settings wont change your performance a single bit, as most of them are just overridden by whatever your settings in game are. Just disable power saving shit and maybe turn sharpness on (if you really need to)

Nobody in the comment section seems to know a gpu is not what youre looking to improve for fortnite, its the cpu. A gtx 1660s is all you need. Pair it with like a 7800x3d or an i9 13900kf and youll be getting insane fps. If however youre playing with high graphics settings instead of performance mode, then the gpu will start to matter more.

for anyone on laptop one of the biggest ways to boost your performance is to clean the fans use canned air and you will go up like 80 fps

quick point; in the video he said disable the fullscreen optimisation settings but showed himself _unchecking_ the "disable" box it before hitting apply. this will allow fullscreen optimisation, it should be checked not unchecked. he also went into the nvidia control panel & said to set the slider to performance, but then went into "manage 3d settings" & changed a bunch of stuff. you should check the "use the advance 3d image settings" above the performance slider, otherwise all the settings in "manage 3d settings" will not be applied & it will determine for itself what "performance" should be.

when you put the slider to performance in the nvidia control panel and use the manage 3d settings it cancels it out so you won't be using the performance option instead using the settings you set in manage 3d settings

A gpu doesnt rlly matter for fn unless ur playing on high settings, if ur on performance mode the cpu is pretty much the key component so uu can have a shit gpu but an amazing cpu and ur fps will be at like 600 amazing gpu and shit cpu then its at like 60-120

Windows most of the time knows what to use for each application so things like game mode is already on and the high perfomance on the graphics settings is useless especially if you are on desktop since it doesnt try to save battery. Only things i would recommend changing is on the power settings the power mode to high performance especially if you are on laptop, tweak the nvidia settings(also putting the setting on performance wont do anything if you are using the settings on the 3d settings tab) and maybe for fortnite i would disable streamed assets from the epic games launcher. Anything else is too much work for like a 5% fps increase and it also messes kind of a lot with your pc so its not worth it

when i play on my acer nitro 5 i constantly get fps drops and stutters frome like 150 fps down to 3- to 59 fps and the back up. Any fix?

Clean out your laptop’s fans and repaste the heat sink. There’s many tutorials on KZread rhatlll show you how to, just search up your laptop’s model followed by “cleaning and repaste”. All you need is thermal paste and pressurised air Thermal throttling (due to dusty fans / heat sink) is the most common cause of fps issues. Dust clogs your fans’ vents and raises the temps and overheats, causing performance to drop

@user-lh4rl8od2n Try cleaning your fans and removing dust and replacing thermal paste for the CPU and GPU under the heat pipe. Another thing you can do is under volting the CPU and GPU just search up how to do it on yt and you could turn off your turbo boost on your CPU by going to your power plan and go to maximum processor state and change it to 99 instead of 100 this will make your CPU not boost up to 4.2 ghz and it will stay under it. I have the same CPU and my temps are at 60-70 degrees Celsius after I did all the tweaks. Before this it was sitting at 99 degrees Celsius but now it runs quieter and not much overheating
