You can feel the look of pride that Kevin has on his face when he insists that he trained his strexpet to eat mice and you can feel the genuine concern that Lauren begins to have upon hearing this information and this is the exact dynamic I need. Chaotic neutral and lawful evil coming together whether they want it or not.

I love how in Night Vale, the dichotomy of darkness and light is present, but it's the darkness that is the good and the light that is to be feared. It kind of feels like this is what being one of the traditional bad guys feels like from the bad guys's point of view. This episode is so chock-full of goodies! Marcus Vansterika, Kevin being snippy to Lauren, Hiram and the Faceless old woman, Intern Maureen mentioning the intern mortality rate, Carlos and Dana talking about phones, Tamika is a fearless and well-read BAMF... just too much to fawn over!

You know you have become an official Night Vale citizen when Lauren is listing all the strange and disturbing things that happen and you’re like “yes, and?”

"Pteranodons are not dinosaurs, Lauren! They're arachnids." One of my favorite quotes from this show, after "I'm not a hero. I'm a scientist!". The former uh...corrects...a common misconception, only to make it even worse in the funniest way. The latter is close to my heart because I myself am a scientist (I don't study botany or biology or genetics, I study science) so I often connect with Carlos.

This episode was so funny. carlos and cecil are my everything. they're so cute. When the audience awwed I did too they're just so cute. and when carlos said that he couldn't see cecil anymore I almost screamed and when he asked "was it cute?" I almost died. The way Cecil's voice deepened at that part was absolutely glorious.

This was such a great episode but I especially lost it when Maureen dragged Cecil for all he was worth regarding his interns!

JESUS! Kevin's delivery is straight up terrifying O-O

I like the audience. It feels like the revolution is in full swing in some of the parts.

This is the best episode I have heard so far! Everyone did a good job at voice acting: Cecil, Carlos, Dana, Tamika, John Peters (you know, the farmer), Maureen, Hiram, the Faceless Old Woman, and even the villanous Lauren and Kevin! I have learned the power of books, the power of science, the power of the 4-H clubs, the power of love, and the power of radio! Also, it is funny that Maureen gave a "the reason you suck" speech to Cecil, but it is sad that he is still a jerk towards all his interns that aren't Dana. I hope Cecil and Carlos get together again.

Old comment I know 😅 But I wouldn’t say Cecil is a jerk to the interns, I think the radio has just lost so, so many of them by now that he’s indifferent to most of them (except of course, the few special ones. Those who last longer or come back, those who are especially good interns and those who are heroic in his eyes) by now. He has been the voice of night vale for a Long time after all

Hmm, I think this (and the next episode) are very interesting and thrilling, but more on the humorous side, rather than the typical mysterious style the show has. Although I think it is hard to built up a mysterious atmosphere with a cheering and fangirling/boying crowd in the background :P Also, holy bananas, for being a 13 year old girl, Tamika is *ham*! In voice and character :D

Lauren: *lists the weird things in Nightvale* Me: *taps pointer fingers together and stares at the ground for bit* Ok, point. *looks up* But it will always be better than Desert Bluffs!!

I honestly could listen to the faceless old woman that secretly lives in your home all day! It's a cool, soothing and crisp voice and I love it.

Listening to Carlos gush about how smart Cecil's interns are, is like listening to one parent brag about their child to the other parent.

I am on the same page (ba-dum-tss) as Tamika. Nobody, and I mean nobody, threatens books and libraries.

Guys I just realized something Kevin and Lauren are literally those two camp counselors from Addams Family Values

Someone said that they love Kevin like they love King George so honestly it fits pretty well...

I can confirm, as a member of 4H, that you do learn how to detect the unraveling coils of the universe. It's one of the more basic lessons in 4H. You also learn how to plant a garden photograph incoming lightning storms, transmute lead into a giant scaled astronaut that gasps for breath as though our earth's atmosphere is like one of a distant planet without any atmosphere at all, and paint.

Kevin is so sassy, I can't help but love him when he's being so mean to Lauren. 😂
