Ditto! Sure wish there was an app w/ a link on the screen to a "pay here" option to order online a downloadable copy as viewers who greatly enjoy a particular extraordinary pic of interest, could do so. The peanut vendor (whose face looked like Santa Claus) pic was lost in a move many years ago. Amazing how the simplest of treasures turn out to be the most valued, huh?

11:00 The picture with the German Soldiers watching a film of the concentrationcamp always gives me shivers. You can see that the reality sinks in. You can see sadness and remorse by a few of them. Others look in disbelief... Its a very powerfull picture.

That preview pick, there's nothing more great than receiving shoes. It seems like a task to get them. It's such a good feeling to receive them after your own are tattered and falling apart. My adoptive mom wouldn't get me any till one time I had worn mine down so bad that there were holes. Goes the same for clothes. I'm gonna be 33 here this month and I still have a hard time being concerned about shoes and clothes because I was shown they aren't that important. I thought that was a norm. Please make sure your children or the people in your life are getting shoes or clothes if possible.

I do agree, when I was in prison my dad wouldn't send me ant money because as he said they're paying for your place to sleep and your meals why do you need money. That wasn't a question he was always super cheap towards his family but went out of his way for my step mom before she was my step mom. Before my mother died.

At 0:15 the energy captured in that 1870 pic of 5 Samurai warriors was palpable! And near the end (for all active/retired vets in ANY war - the 1945 pic of German soldiers shown a concentration camp, the dismay in their faces, or unable to look -- think back to what YOU were UNAWARE of, and remember this: LIES are always what get you on the battlefield. War is always just a means to an end, and the risk is always yours. The only "winners" are those who take without negotiating; always ponder what the spoils of war offer, and WHO benefits?

love these fotos! BUT maybe there is a mistake: nearly at 5.50 there is a picture of a jew holding a gun on a nazi and under it it says:1940.. .. I find it difficult to believe that in 1940 jews could hold guns against nazi.

0:34 Neither of these guys is Walt Disney. 4:05 Great photo, the Red Sox beat the Giants 4 games to three. The Giants were where they belong, in New York. 6:28 Thank you, President Ronald Reagan. 7:41 Hitler was 5'9" and 170 lbs. The length and waist of these pants are for a much larger person. Wonderful historic photos. thank you

Here are some contexts: so basically many people suspected Nazi Germany was going to lose World War II, but Hitler was persistent so they decided to assassinate him while in a meeting. They put a briefcase down which look like important documents but it was a bomb then BOOM they were caught and executor including one of the best generals of the regime Erwin Rommel

John McCain, Yes. He was a Naval aviator and had just ejected having been shot down near Hanoi. He ejected but, fractured both arms and a leg. He nearly drowned but was saved in this photo only to become a POW in North Vietnam for the next 5 1/2 years. He was beaten and tortured daily until his release.
