Putting the slideout is just an excellent idea. That's taking the skoolie to the next level, imo. Great idea!

Damn you got some great deals my friend, $1,500 for the bus and $1,600 for the trailer holy shit great deal especially the trailer. That trailer even if the fires was all through the trailer would of been 10x that price here in California

This is a fantastic build. I love the bus and the slides will make it much more livable. I have seen busses with transitions in the roof line like yours and I have seen them with the entire roof raised. Why did you do a tradition vs raising the entire roof? Great job!

I did the transition for aerodynamic and I didn’t like the look of the big font front. Also I wouldn’t have done a 24” raise but to get the slides to fit I needed to. Glad you like the build

what engine an drive train does the bus have and how fast will it run on the highway? I know of a couple skoolie builds that don't do well on the hwy because those were never intended for highway, so are though. Nice job, the rook raising was a great idea.

It has the t444e and the at545 tranny I know it’s not what everyone wants but it’s all I could find for sale up here in Alaska. It had a speed governor at 56mph I had that turned off now I’m running up against the rev/rpm governor which I’m going to leave because it’s a rear engine bus and I cant here the engine. It cruises around 60 which is fine for the most part up in Alaska with the speed governor off I can atleast get a run at the next hill

I am curious, when folks do roof raises on skoolies, why go with a transition rather than raising the whole roof, including the part over the driver's area? I know you don't need for ceiling space there, but wouldn't it make the job easier and give you extra space for storage or a bunk bed?

I didn’t like the look of the big flat front and not very aerodynamic, I do like the look people are doing now where the transition starts at the very front of the bus instead of 4 ft back

This is my two cents worth having built two schoolies and then buying a Hiway Coach...if you want to travel the roads, invest in a Gm 4104 etc. as highway coaches are capable of handling the loads that occur when you convert to an RV...when you load up a schoolie, they are always top heavy and handle like a ten pound bag of shit in a five pound bag...they just do not have the stability of a highway coach...now I have never converted a diesel pusher schoolie with the engine in back...but I'm just saying, Hiway Coaches are made to handle excess loads at hiway speeds, don't find out the hard way as I did...Schoolies are ok for putt puttin along but not for coast to coast journeys in comfort...just my opinion from experience, for Gods sakes do not loose the trolls on me...again, from my experience

Ya I agree if I was down in the states I’d def want something that cruised a little faster. For up here the roads are pretty skinny and windy so 60 mph works for me. I have had my eye on the Prevost bus’s maybe in the future. For the handling I think my bus handles the road great but never driven any thing but rv’s
