4843 sq. ft. 91X4 House in Panchkula, Haryana, by Studio Ardete (Home Tour).

Download PDF eBook with detailed floor plans, photos with info on materials and project cost:

Project 91/4 is set on a highway-facing 550 square yard plot situated in Sector-4, Panchkula. The client wanted a house for a small family of 4 and preferred to keep it private, while most socializing activities would not be at the residence.
Using height as an illusion, the house 91x4 is designed to create possibilities for everyday interactions. The residence also called the '350-day-year-a-house', draws focus on the essentials over the ancillary.
Ar. Badrinath Kaleru walks us through this contemporary home, narrating the concept and design process behind its architecture and interior design.

its clearly inspired by Lobby Spaces in Hotels, can be very impersonal if the clients and users are not up for it. Luckily there is a balance with normal height spaces that can make it work.

This is the best explained video of Buildofy. The design of the house is very subtle , straightforward, and interiors are minimal yet beautiful and functional. Modernity with simplicity - is the phrase to describe this house. Great work by the architects. Hope to watch more such detailed videos of beautiful houses. Thanks.

"Predominantly" this house is very well designed and harmonious with its space planning, materials, furniture and even art. In a few aspects the Clients personal inclinations are not representative of the modernist thinking and design this house is based one. if only the ppl who owned/lived in these beautiful houses match up to their thinking and actual lifestyles than just for optics.

I felt The scale of normal and double height space was a bit stark but there was a decent attempt to balance and attribute the right scale to public and private spaces, overall its pretty harmonious, I agree the built mass could be better suited as per the site's , but I think this architect made the best of what the client had in terms of land and context. How else do you suggest the flow and Planning could have been improved,
