48 Hours of Film & Digital Photography on the Oregon Coast.

Shooting both film and digital photos on the Oregon Coast with my Nikon F3 and Fuji X100V. This was Carl’s first time ever seeing the ocean, so it was a pretty big deal for us.

I am binge watching all your videos in a row and my only complain so far is that... there are not enough! I really like your aesthetic. I'm not exactly sure what it is, maybe the warmth of the color, maybe your specific oranges and browns and greens...? Watching your videos puts me in some kind of meditating state. Nothing else matter and it ease my soul. Thank you. I'm looking for your next piece of art. PS : Love your dog! He has character.

Really appreciate that, Thomas! Hahaha I don’t have too many secrets really, just a workflow that involves basic corrections, then creative decisions like curves, colors and power windows, then a chain of effects like grain, sometimes subtle halation, etc.. overall it’s usually ~15 nodes per clip. I’ll use the hero shot from each scene as the starting point for that color palette/location. Hope that helps! It’s a wildly capable camera and I absolutely adore it.
