    Well it seems that hunting season has now got it’s claws in me pretty deep, but it’s about to come to an end, and I fully expect to jump back in with both feet to try and get this boat done early summer or late spring. Don’t hold back prodding me every few days to get me back on it.

    Yeah, that would have been a good idea, but they will be on those bunks dry riding down the road, unloading, etc... If the carpet kills it, we have bigger problems. Appreciate it.

    Pretty good? Really good. It’s funny when we rig something up to help us accomplish a task and we are so nervous for nothing. The whole idea we came up with would have worked from the beginning, if you would have just went ahead with your plan. But I know it’s very scary to move too fast. And we can be stubborn. Congratulations on the flip, I really enjoyed the video. Keep going Oscar, you’re doing great. Thank you

    Was trying not to hold my breath until she finally flipped over. It wasn't that bad!!!! Wish I lived closer, I would have stopped by and help flip the boat. Nevermind the sanding though..

    No it didn't end bad. When that thing broke loose, it was catastrophic until I looked around and realized how lucky I had gotten. The sanding that is behind us is greater than the sanding that is to come. It's all about perspective.

    Yeah well don't expect it to be common practice. All hype and methodical dragging out an issue for nothing is not my style. I create enough drama in my normal attempts to be productive. I will rely of natural occurrences, but my caveat is I will keep you thinking. Appreciate it.

    You should have painted the whole bottom when you had it upside down? Seems it would have been easier?

  • @Bigeaux20

    @Bigeaux20

    Ай бұрын

    Maybe. I still have to finish the sheer bumper and stuff so I chose to have my paint edge be the chine edge as opposed to having some seam up higher on the hull side where it will be more visible. The painting part is easy comparatively but having the fairing “done” on the side should make it easier to paint when the time comes.

    @@Bigeaux20 I’d say lucky haha. The whole time I was expecting the boat to roll over onto the legs of the hoist and cause two big scratches. All is good. Enjoy working topside. Just a tip, get you some 18” high planks on both sides of the hull so you can get in and out easier. Half the battle topside was having to climb in and out of the boat while on the trailer.

    I'm going to build a couple sets of stairs to make entry and exit more functional. That's in the plan already, and I have a couple of short step stools that work well. I've thought of taking off the wheels, tires, and fenders to keep from banging my legs on them. I'm sure the top side will present it's on challenges, but at least now I feel I've developed enough skill to avoid any major hiccups. You know like dropping it when I roll it over.
