What are your favorite Jesus movies for Easter?

Always watch the Passion on Good Friday. Possibly the best movie about Jesus ever made 🙏🏻✝️

My favorite Easter movie is Risen. My favorite religious movie is The Young Messiah - I love the depiction of Mary and Joseph and the actor who plays the young Jesus does a fantastic job. Would love for you to do a review of both movies!

Oh, my goodness- we recently watched the scene from Risen when he sees the Resurrected Jesus. (LOL- and Thomas bursting in oblivious to what's going on). It was very moving. We have not seen The Young Messiah- is that based on the book by Ann Rice?

@@catholicmomanddaughter Yes, that scene is very powerful. Yes, I do believe the movie The Young Messiah is based on that book but I've never read the book. I've watched the movie several times and give it out as gifts. Both movies are available on DVD from Amazon. Happy Easter! He is risen!

Thanks for sharing your review. I hadn't heard about it. It's great that more christian movies are being made. Thank you so much for your prayers. My niece & I had a great trip to her appointment in the city. Although on the last leg of our flight back (in a 9-seater plane) there was questionable weather & we could see ice forming on the windshield & wings. We flew an extra 10-15 minutes & were able to get out of it. I did lots of praying as well. We go back for another appointment at the end of this month. I hope that you're having a wonderful Easter!! I appreciate you being here with us !

Lena- you have a very exciting life! You should write a book :) Glad the trip went well and you made it home safely. Hopefully your next trip will be a little more boring, lol We always keep you in our prayers!

​@@catholicmomanddaughterThank you. I pray daily for you beautiful ladies. Tomorrow I get to fly to a hub village for a gospel retreat. My daughter works in that village so I'll be able to see & visit with her. I plan to make more Easter bread tonight and bring some to her.

Lol- yes, it was indeed a surprise! The more we think about it, the more it seems as though maybe the producers felt like the retelling of the last 47 days just needed a little something extra to set it apart and make it as interesting as the more modern part of the movie. Maybe? Hmm.... On a different note, we are enjoying your Saint Squad book so much! About half way through, and it is so helpful and enjoyable to read :)
