I used to play live. It would piss me off so much when a drummer spent an hour setting up his dumbass 40 piece kit for a shitty 30 minute set. You really need to set up those roto-toms for that one drum fill for that one crap song? Same with guitarists with 50 pedals or keyboardist with 10 keyboards. No amount of equipment and variety in sounds will make you a good musician.

The second thing is that it's a white person's depiction of what Native American music is rather than a true depiction. The third issue is appropriating it as "trippy music." Sharing real Native American culture is important, but using it to demonstrate what you believe is "trippy music" is downright ignorant. But, if any Native Americans would tell me I'm off mark, I'm of course happy to be wrong.

I used to play live. It would piss me off so much when a drummer spent an hour setting up his dumbass 40 piece kit for a shitty 30 minute set. You really need to set up those roto-toms for that one drum fill for that one crap song? Same with guitarists with 50 pedals or keyboardist with 10 keyboards. No amount of equipment and variety in sounds will make you a good musician.
This reminds me of trying to start a band on Craigslist.

@@Vekikev1 Well, the first issue is she called them Indians. Indian music culture is very different from both Native American and Western music culture. The second thing is that it's a white person's depiction of what Native American music is rather than a true depiction. The third issue is appropriating it as "trippy music." Sharing real Native American culture is important, but using it to demonstrate what you believe is "trippy music" is downright ignorant. But, if any Native Americans would tell me I'm off mark, I'm of course happy to be wrong.
