45 Minute Unilateral Shoulders & Arms Workout at Home | Caroline Girvan

Shoulders, triceps & biceps! A dumbbell unilateral workout straight to the point! Pressing, raising, curling and extending to target the arms and shoulders by using unilateral training!
It may only be 10 seconds rest but due to the fact we switch side each set, you are having just over 1 minute rest per side!
Some of the exercises I will be kneeling, however you can perform seated or standing!
For this upper body workout, you will need a pair of dumbbells and your mat!
The dumbbells I am using for your reference are 9kg and 6kg each.
The timer will be on for 50 seconds of work, 10 seconds rest. All the exercises will be performed x2 on each side so for example, left side, right side, left side, right side.

This workout was exactly what I needed! It felt so good to give the legs a rest, as mine are extremely sore from yesterday's lunges! But I apparently also thought it would be a great idea to play soccer, which just made it worse, hehe. I loved how simple this was. You really had time to FOCUS on the movement and get it right. All the repetition tired my muscles out fast, and I'm feeling it as I type this. Can't wait to be back for tomorrow's calisthenics workout - they're always A TON of fun!

This looks awesome. I can’t wait! I love that you start off in the kneeling position , and I actually wanna incorporate more seated or kneeling work, so I stop using my back !

@@CarolineGirvan - yes! I kneeled for all the moves till triceps. Subbed extensions for Tricep presses (feels weird for me) and then finisher i did sub drag curls on the biceps . This was such a change for me and felt great!

Yesterday I pushed myself pretty hard through the lower body workout and today I'm feeling it! It's so weird how in the beginning, I used to complain about being sore and let it give me a reason not to work out the next day. Now I absolutely LOVE the feeling of sore muscles - it just gives me such a sense of accomplishment! Here's to having sore arms & shoulders tomorrow! :) :) :) Let's gooooooooooooooooooooo!

Yes Caroline's workouts are always just so superbly well planned and thus one is I exception. I just loved the high rep format...as you say targeting so many areas of the upper body. Just great as always

This was great! I was a little shocked at the difference in strength between my right and left.
Just completed this 45 minutes of awesomeness. I used lighter weights than I normally would 8lbs, went really slow and focussed on form and the slow lowering portion. Wow!! I loved it. Thanks again Caroline

12/06/2023 DONE 💯💯💯💯! I miss my sessions too much! First session after hospitalization on May 23 and my surgery on 05/24 but I’m happy to get back on track without jumping with lighter weights but the pleasure is there and I need it! Thank you Caroline! I feel like I lost so much during this break of nearly 3 weeks!

Happy Tuesday All! Today’s workout was awesome! Started with a 30-minute swim/warmup and moved on to shoulders. I wore 2x2lb wrist weights and used 2x15lbs weights for the entire session. Form was good and reps respectable. Yay upper body!! Sounds like Caroline is fighting a summer cold. Rest up coach and thanks for pushing through for us!!

Hello Caroline, another amazing workout! I had time to do 33 mins! Still taking it easy on left forearm, I used super light or no weight. For the right side, I used medium or light weight to minimize imbalance for the left side as best I can. Thank you so much always for your workouts! Have a fantastic day!

I really can't explain it, but these workouts put me in the BEST mood! Even though my weight is significantly less than Caroline's, I still feel so positive and encouraged and really proud of my progress. Absolutely loved this work out! I love the unilateral work outs as they show the weakness which most of us have on one side! Even got my husband to join me this morning as we are in lockdown! Those tricep movements were an absolute killer!!!!

I just loved it, missed so much of such workouts. I reduced the dumbells weights as I don't want my muscles to grow anymore, but still it was intense. Thank you!
Me (31) and my mom (53) from Hungary🇭🇺 started to train with you about 6 months ago, 4-5 times a week, because gyms closed. Hi! Is this also for men? I am man and did this with my mother-in-law but it was brutal! I used soda can (300 gram) as weights but could not last even 8 minutes when my arms completely gave up and I stopped and my MIL told me to go and rest to recover My MIL did the full session with 10 kg dumbbells!! Her biceps are thick and powerful! I feel really low and defeated.
