44 Films, a partnership between Syracuse Athletics and the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, presents "Papa's Beast: A Judah Mintz Story," chronicling the special relationship Mintz had with his maternal grandfather, James Holcomb Jr., whom he referred to as "Papa." Woven within the main story line is Judah Mintz's recruitment by Syracuse and the Orange rivalry with Georgetown. Mintz grew up in Fort Washington, Maryland, just south of Washington, D.C., where Georgetown is located.

Seeing this side of things makes you appreciate Judah Mintz even more and I thought he gave us what we were worth at the time. If he had chosen to stay one more year, the magic that could've happened would've been magical. The fact he gave us 2 years was a privilege for SU as a whole though, he even had that "Your mommas a Hoya" mentality and I wish nothing but the best for him. Show out big dawg 🍊🍊🏀🙏💪
