In my humble opinion I interpret Chapter 10 as God saying all men are worthy of salvation. When I was younger it was explained as it meaning all food was clean and could be eaten. I think it truly means so much more....Glory to God in Heaven!

Well, they were actually cassettes when I was a kid, and I HATED them to be played!^^ I wanted to hear music, not sum1 talk, especially abou tthe bible, I could read it myself!!^^ Well, 30+ years later, it's a precious commodity I'm grateful Alexander did, and I LOVE IT!!^^ Listen to it often. Who'da thought then, u'd WANT to hear this, and be able to at a push of a virtual button on the internet?^^ \O>

Yesss so enjoying the vivid pictures and occurrences of Acts through Mr. Scourby's reading. I can retain the events better through listening rather than from reading on my own.The imagery of Paul falling to earth because of God's light is so amazing. Even him becoming blind thosenfew days afterwards is fascinating too.

The word Apocrypha simply means "Hidden. This is content that you are not paying for. It’s expensive to put content on KZread because we have to continually maintain it. It’s like TV, you get free programming but there are TV commercials. I think you can stop the commercial after 5 seconds and they only run every 30 minutes or so. Mr. Scourby, your marvelous recitation makes the KJV my favorite version to HEAR. This surprised me because I find the KJV more difficult to READ than every other modern, English translation. Well done, sir.

Let me say the following: First, KZread Selects the ads for the videos, normally they are synergistic with the content and they can be skipped after 5 seconds. Here is what a user M.W. wrote as a comment: I have KZread premium, it's $10 a month. I never see a commercial. I don't pay for cable, I just use KZread if I want to watch something, or listen to radio. I love the blessing of this Scourby channel, especially overnight and when I'm doing housework. There is no business model in the world based on giving away goods and services. FREE programming is on TV, but ads appear to pay for that programing. If there are no ads, then a subscription fee is involved. We all pay monthly subscriptions, to NETFLIX, Amazon Prime, HBO, etc for content. It takes time and money creating Channel content as well as maintaining the Channel, it’s not FREE. You can skip the ads, however, Google delivers a lot of ads sensitive that are sensitive to the content, which includes a lot of really good health and Christian ads that I have found really helpful. Look how wicked the people were during the events in Acts. They knew they had killed Jesus. They saw the miracle of Peter and John and couldn't deny the truth, but INSTEAD chose to not believe on Christ, they chose to threaten them not to preach in Jesus name despite seeing the miracle and proof. This same thing happened when Christ left the tomb. They paid the guards off not to tell people what happened so people won't believe Christ resurrected.

Second, there is no business model in the world that’s established on giving away goods and services. FREE programing is on TV, but ads appear every so often. I don't mind paying for KZread premium to listen to the word of God ad free, also, there's many apps that are free that have an audible version of the Bible built into it because I've hit hard times also and not everyone can pull off a premium subscription. Mine has lapsed before more than once. I'm also glad there is still ad revenue left for this channel, I enjoy it very much and would be sad to learn it was shut down due to lack of funding.

Of all the Bible I have listened to I like Alexander Scourby's the best. 😊. Praise the Lord we can listen.

I will have to invest and download the complete audio Bible from the Alexander Scourby website. It's the only version I listen to, and I don't always want to hear it on YT. Top tier narration. Really brings it all to life.

The word Apocrypha simply means "Hidden. It also contained maps and genealogies. The apocrypha was a part of the King James Bible for 274 years until being removed in the year 1885. It's not certain why the apocrypha was taken out of the king James Bible in 1885. Some conjecture, and it was taken out by the printers, who wanted to save some money on the publishing of the King James Bible. The truth is the original 1611 King James Version contained the Deuterocanonical books. I like the reading too. I think he could show down just a tad. And the ads are super annoying.... The channel could set it up that they're are no ads.... But then ... I don't think they would make any money off people watching.
