Oh my gosh thank you so much!!! I was waiting for this from you! 💖 There was a lot to learn but it was a quick learn spree! I learned a lot from it as well watching reactions from other Uncle Roger reactors! They taught me what was right and what was wrong, it's just that Korea and China had some differing opinions, but I chalk it up to Korea being annexed by Japan and China wanting to claim everything as theirs (even Japanese stuff when it was only proximity influence. Same could really be said for Korea but the fact that Japan colonized them made people have mixed feelings.) I know it's complicated, so I'll leave it at that! Aw and we got to see Ruka! Tell him hi for me! Again, thank you for responding, love you guys! 🥰❤😍

  • @TomodachiTable

We may have our differences, but that doesn't mean we can't all be friends - that is one of the reasons why we wanted to start "Tomodachi Table"! Yes, the colonization was horrible, but we can acknowledge those things without affecting who we choose to be friends with. It is complicated though, since everyone is different! Will say hi to Luca! Thanks for also offering such insightful opinions! Cheers!

As a huge fan of Sengoku Basara series and a bit of Samurai Warrior, watching Japan history like this, I always want to know: - Where were my cool guys Date Masamune and Uesugi Kenshin (no pun intended)? - What happened to my main ladies Kai, Tsuruhime, Matsu, Oichi, and Saika Magoichi.... *cough* I mean "the playboy" Saika Magoichi - How about Mitsuhide and Hideyoshi? Are they evil or actually good? - ....and so many more

Oh wow ... I've seen this one before, but a lot of Japanese history buffs have denounced it; saying it's not accurate and so forth. I don't know personally, being American (we act like we know it all but secretly we know *NOTHING* ) but my husband is from Japan and I know from what he's said (we are both interested in history, but neither of us is in history as a profession I must confess) that some of this is very true, but other things maybe not so much according to his education in Japan. I'll ask him later, hopefully he'll watch this and comment so I can maybe quote him (but we'll see) Also: if you could possibly consider reacting to this same guy, Bill Wurtz, he did a video on world history. Please react to that if you possibly can. I'll do *ANYTHINGGGGG*, PPLLLLEEEEEAAAsseEEE*

Thank you for the insightful comments! This video was by no means a comprehensive history (it is a really short video after all!), but it hit most of the main points ok. There was a lot more samurai stuff they could have covered as well as the conquests of Okinawa etc. Also alot of WWII stuff was glossed over, but we think as a very general skeleton/introduction to Japanese history, it dishes it out in a fun, quick to digest way! Of course, you shouldn't use this for anything academic, but it is a good starting point to find areas to start reading up on!

Korea influenced to Japan in ancient history was still diminished in this video. And 16 century Japan invade Korea but finally failed cause navy commandos ‘Lee Soon Shin’ destroyed Japanese supply route in ocean. It is missing. Japan killed Korean queen and eat Korea for 36 years and killed so many innocent civilians and stoled Korean National treasures during WW2. They never apologize what they did in Korea and never teach about their darkness history to their young generation. Their economy was grown by Korean War and Vietnamese war. Also 30 years lost of economy development make them Japan become 3rd world country again. They still use fax machine and CD. Credit card is not prefer to use buying stuff.
