In Novemeber of 2019 The 42nd Street shuttle began a major renovation project, and a year later track 3 (the middle track) was offically discountinued. The Track was over with platform and Times Square station was completely redone and had its beige gap filler removed. The platform for both station on the shuttle were extended to fit a 6 car train. Today when going through my hard drive I found this footage I took of the 42nd street shuttle durings its reconsruction. The Shuttle was still running for a bit longer until it was completely suspended to finish the improvement, roughly a few days after these videos where taken. So Enjoy this sight of the old Times Square and usage of Track 3 as we will never be able to see them in regular use again. Enjoy the Video
