Ooh look, it’s an LGA 1851 socket motherboard with a z890 chipset

Can't wait for them to f*ck up the nomenclature...Super USB 4.2.1 Maximus with ATMOS

That crap ticked me off badly enough with Hdmi, please don't do it again to Usb.
Whoa 40 gigabit usb, that means some future dock can handle a whole 3 monitors.
USB4 finally
I love how 8 segment displays are coming back to motherboards. I spent a fortune on my current motherboard compared to the next without one purely just because to me they're very useful and important.
@jsteezus

Aren’t they 7 segment displays?
MSI sure brings the guns..
Watercooling for CAMM@! I'm 100% for it now. Wait a minute, why do the pins look covered up? How is it connected to the board? And the underside doesn't get cooling, sad.
usb 4.0 is allready present on x670 motherboards so x870 boards doesn't have much to offer only maybe better ram support but 2 dimm boards still missing.

only thing Ryzen 9000 has to offer in general are faster memory specs for people who stay away from EXPO and overclocking (5200 to 5600), and 20% higher IPC.
@AkkayaOzgun

@@RobloxianX "only 20% higher IPC" is a wild statement.
Love resolution/frame rate switch. See how a health bar might be useful for some people, personally I avoid front facing LEDs. Aero memory expansion with the eject function is brilliant 👍
I'm liking what i'm seeing!
Looking good Tomahawk.
imagine the awesome monoblocks that would cover the cpu, vrm, and memory
@bandile126

Having a Monoblock might make troubleshooting issues will be extra complicated .
Anyone know what the 8 pin power plugs on the bottom of the Pro X870 and the Intel Pro series boards were for? Is it just supplemental power for all the USB ports?
The faster the better as 4K and 8K is the way to go as those files are getting huge.
My 1st's PC's hdd capacity was 40 gigs, 2005, how far we have come
@iancurrie8844

Those would be gigabytes, not gigabits.
@bandile126

@@iancurrie8844 still, though I was just watching the DaPoets Kyle podcast where DaPoets when he got a 100 gigabyte hdd he didn't know what to with it, amazing how storage is just like money, maybe, the more we get, the more we want
@bengrogan9710

While that is true - it still means 8 seconds for a full transfer of the same info
@bandile126

@@bengrogan9710 I must just delete the comment because everyone is just focus on showcasing their of internet speeds and not what I am saying
@iancurrie8844
18 күн бұрын
@@bengrogan9710 Also incorrect. The USB 4 standard has a lane rate of 10gbits (each direction) The .1, .2 standards have higher speeds but that's not what we're talking about here. That's the theoretical transfer speed not accounting for any overhead. The number of 40gbits comes from the accompanying PCI-E tunneling, Display port alt mode, etc. You'll find that the amount of data you can transfer over a generic USB 4 connection is about 1.2GB per second in each direction.
Cool !
That water-cooled CAMM build is sexy.
While people are interested in getting the USB4, I'm glad to see motherboards with a bunch of USB ports (cuz having 9 is not enough for me)
Need some am5 camm2 boards and then I'll upgrade. Really liking the idea of camm2.
@AkkayaOzgun

I really don't think I could be an early adopter of that kind of tech, especially since AMD is notorious for RAM struggles on release.
MSI my favorites.
Man fuck 40gbps USB-C! Where my THUNDERBOLT 5 80GBPS?!!
Where is TB5?
around 5gb per second ? , could that usb-c max out a nvme extrernal drive ?
I bet someone (vendor) will work out a way to rotate camm2 modules 90° to fit 2 on the mainboard, which would enable support for the same capacity as regular DDR5 modules :-)
So are any of the board makers showing any love to the itx crowd? The only vids I've seen out of the expo this year are atx boards

ASUS ProArt X670E 🍷🗿
When you say ALL boards, you mean all of the higher tier boards, or all boards? If it's all boards, MSI's got my money. A debug LED would definitely be the tipping point around the $250-$300 mark.
I would love to go to a computex convention show!! Thank you for showing this to us Bitwit!!
I thought MSI would have more to show. wish they would have some updates on the new GPU's.
Im actually worried about chibi... welp least she's clean inside and out
0:26 ah yes the trauma from ram tuning
My secret was always a crochet needle, I've never tried a plastic butter knife to release a GPU.
Yooo thats true, it has a debug LED. thats hella exciting
dose anyone know the game that was on the AI OLED monitor it looks like monster hunter but I'm not sure

40Gbps is not new, i have an intel z690 motherboard with tb4 and also several AMD x670 have usb4. What would actually be new is tb5 aka 80Gbps bidirectional (120Gbps down / 40 up )
Lmao the random Indonesian 'tomahawk got debug LED' on the intro But yeah I'd react the same as the guy, as long as they're priced very well especially that debug screen has been missing on many mobo for so long
what's with the audio part on the back of these mobos? where do I plug my 5.1 analogic system?

have you tried your asshole? lol gay
Hardware is already a gaming advantage. Imagine getting less fps than someone else.
Debug 7 segment LEDs!
Dear monitor manufactures. WE DONT WANT AI IN OUR SCREENS.
I have 2 40Gb usb 4 ports on my Amd motherboard ... it's not that new
WTF with the first few comments DPs.
No gigachad ps/2 port wtf
is that physical PCI-E 16x but really PCI-E 1x ? there is a place in hell for people making this kind of motherboard ...
So when should I sell my Kidneys?

Can the AI monitor tell WoW players when they are standing in fire?
hi there guys, I've been out the loop of pc specs and I'm not capable of building my own pc, I'm looking at a prebuilt one these are the specs: Intel Core 12th Gen i5-12400F 6-Core CPU 16GB DDR4 3200mhz Memory GeForce RTX 3050 8GB MSI PRO H610M-E DDR4 m-ATX Motherboard 500GB Kingston NV2 M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD may seem weird asking on KZread but wanted to know if it is worth me getting it, the system is £699 and i play fps games like tarkov and rust
No 10gbe on any of the x870 boards is literally a crime considering the lack of lanes. Bruh, its 2024 companies. Get your acts together.
It's kind of embarrassing how slow the adoption of Thunderbolt has been outside of the Apple world. Even though USB 4 is essentially just Thunderbolt 3, it's still been around for like 5 years and you don't really see much of it. I guess we can probably blame Intel for the cost of licensing it (historically) and the inherent cheap-assery of most PC makers. I mean, this is the reason we have the epic clusterfuck known as USB 3.1 and newer with it's ever expanding list of "optional" features, almost to the point of it negating the whole "universal" part of the name.
thunderbolt 5: pathetic
I wonder when MFs will start switching to C connections all the way.
I feel like you're taking a bit too much liberty with the term "hot-swap"
oh look the ASRock z690 Taichi had 40gb usb-C ports 2 years ago along with Thunderbolt 4
2:45 that's not hot-swappable, that's not even toolless. You still need to unscrew and rescrew the heatsink to swap a drive, unless you have additional drive assemblies with drives already screwed in to them. Also M.2 does not supports neither hot-swapping nor hot- plugging so you'll still need to turn your computer off to swap drives. Only benefits this thing offer is that you won't need to disassamble you entire case to swap drives and maybe better cooling.
Asus BTF is the way to go not only the MB but also their asus video card with the proprietary power connector on the back as well
Kyle you are so lucky to touch those new mother's 😁🤣🤣🤣
