12 minutes 39 seconds of straight facts and hard work🔥🔥
Getting more candid talk/personality is cool to see
Love it when Will gets fired up about a certain topic and then makes a series of really good takes on it (Drew McDuffie, critiquing LeBron’s squat, Oly lifts etc) - always great to see 😅 By the way I did PJF programs and he has you do snatch and clean grip high pulls and his rationale is that Oly lifts shouldn’t be put into online programs cause they can’t be coached in person and he also said he doesn’t think it’s possible for most people to get “max intent” on these moves. Some very good programs regardless tho
It's a fallacy and error because pro athletes bias results as they are already outliers. I mean, people just bring up Joel Seedman to show how fallacious this is
great to have a long video from you.
I've really been enjoying your videos, both new and old 💪

I’m right around 226-228
I think one thing that professional athletes do is that they wear out their joints and cartilage at an accelerated rate. So they can never really work out like someone that’s on an optimal schedule, except maybe in the off-season, if nothing is lingering. That hip shift that Lebron had is a herniated disc. He’s damn near 40, his pelvis is looks slightly rotated.

You are probably right about the accelerated wear, but how does this defend against poor technique while training? Yes, athletes have crazy schedules, but so do many general population people. Kids, jobs, partners - I have no idea what an 'optimal' training schedule looks like. Maybe a 17 year old does.
On the topic of the exercises used by the pros, you tend to see a bunch of single leg exercises and stability stuff. Can you also mention how that might be okay for the pros cause they already have such a strong strength base so it's just injury prevention? But some don't and can get away with it due to the high skill of the sport, not gonna work for football though. Just some thoughts. Thanks!
What's your All Time PR on Bench?

@will_ratelle What is the brand of the bench youre using?
Based as usual Will.
What would you say to a really skilled athlete that is at the professional level, that doesn't want to do the cleans. back squat or traditional lifts? They want to be good enough at the weight room stuff that they aren't injured all the time, but they want to spend time doing their sport, because in the end isn't that what matters the most? There's a tax to every stimulus, why wouldn't the athlete want the MAIN stimulus to be there sport?
Straight up Horsecocked that 405
Hey will, where’s the squat rack from?

Crash Pads, nice Will. Let it rain.
What these clowns don’t think is there’s this called politics and kiss ass to get those job as a trainer and trained pro athletes. It’s called yes man. People that knows their craft and its rationale would question it. Remember Brandon Roy’s horrible walking lunges with a so called “trainer” see what happened there? Early retirement.
