You are so right about the importance of size. In our 70’s. We just purchased two Stressless models. One in a small size for my 4”10 wife. The small size is giving her comfort she never had before. Mine is on order from Norway.

Well, I just went recliner shopping. I need to replace my cushy old "back killer" as I've aged. Still a great chair for a young person! I went from store to store. I needed one with lumber support and enough firmness to support the rest of my spine. I tried dozens and dozens of chairs at different stores. I found exactly one that met the criteria. It is $1500.00. It is what it is! I'm not going to buy the wrong chair to save a buck. May as well keep what I have.

Make the frame out of aluminum. The curved parts like armrest from stamped sheetmetal, like old car fenders. Why wood? Make the back from 4 seperate cushions that can be adjusted by adding or removing stuffing, zipper access, like Lane used to. Use springs and batting and foam, not just foam. Make the seat cushion go all the way to the back UNDER the bottom of the seat back. Delete the rocking and swivel, or make them selectable. Most important, make a seperate manual adjust for footrest and back. One on each side or one lever longer than the other. I would pay $3000 for that.

I bought the lancer recliner and it just kills my neck. the chair feels completely different from what I tested in the store. I wish I could return the chair, but lazyboy only gives you 3 day return window, because they know if you try your chair longer, it will cause you pain. Basically, lazy boy DOES NOT stand behind their product. You guys should buy a recliner from anywhere else that has at least a 7 day return policy. I regret buying lazyboy. The lancer recliner just kills my neck no matter how much I try to sit on it. I don't have any physical problems either. In the store it was fine, but this chair they sent me feels completely different, it was a bait and switch, very unethical.

Comparable back padding to match as well. I may have to shop for commercial grade furniture in order to fit my need, sad. Why can't you charge me extra and give me the seat foam I need???
