The guys in charge of the 67 billion dollar company only cares about money, the two guys cares about making good games and giving people good experiences. It shows how irrelevant money can be if the motivation is bad.

I honestly dont understand why people even talk about Stormgate. It's look like another DEAD ON RELEASE game. Who out of RTS fans will play it? It has no "soul" art style or design. It's just a mush of wc3 and sc2. People who play wc3 and sc2 will stick to playing those games even after Stormgate release. And for new players there is nothing intersting about it. Just another RTS game. 0 story 0 lore bad graphics. This game however has art style has it's OWN world. Yeah maybe it clunky but it's still more appealing than soulles remake that is Stormgate.

Graphics wise yeah, but Stormgate has better gameplay feeling/polish, then again, Godsworn is in alpha... (but so is stormgate)

Feel and polish, response are very hard to develop. Artwork is important but easier to put on top of great game design than visie versa

I think this game looks great. I like the gameplay, graphics, voice acting, setting and unit design. Stormgate on the other hand doesn't tick any boxes for me. Godsworn reminds me of a time when games were made to appeal to players rather than whatever the current game industry is.

agreed. Stormgate looks somehow soulless and uninspired. And that although Godsworn is clearly leaning into WC3.

StormGate feels like a mix of starcraft and warcraft. Now this feels like a mix of AOE and WC3, that's why it's also so cool and exciting!

I'm seeing some Stronghold influence in the Econ as well

their music btw is just SO GOOD. also like the voices of the units (something the others with way more ppl seem to struggle with for whatever reason). i like the more aggressive playstyle. nice video as always.

Woah - Saule is the Lithuanian sun goddess! This is so cool, I had no idea about this game until this video. I was just talking to someone the other day about how I wished Age of Mythology had Baltic mythology in it. Definitely going to be following this!

Played it the other night. Had a blast. Much more fun than storm gate. Was a little bit annoyed by some of the control issues (rallying to hero, or right clicking units on hero portrait is really needed). Otherwise, the game play, visuals, music - all incredible.

Genuinely the most fun and promising RTS I've played in... so many years I can't even remember. I guess since SC2? Hard to believe there's just two absolute chads behind it.

This is my first look at this game and it looks pretty good so far--my type of styling. What Grubby mentioned about some of the SHIFT and CTRL commands needing some implementation would definitely be nice to have added. Then for me, just a little bit more smoothening out of some of the animations would be nice if possible. 100% going to look more into this game.

This game deserves coverage, happy you came across it. Same impressions: rough around the edges in terms of control but lot of things already work super well - the combo of the original setting, music and art style was huge magnet for me from the start.

Wouldn't mind seeing you cover the other factions once they are available. The Crusaders look interesting with their alke/keythong/"male griffin" (in some lore, only female griffin have wings) mounts, reminds me of the Empire from Total War Warhammer.

Looks good, strong art style. I like the slower combat pace too since I'm a 10 apm peasant. There's still a lot to manage once you're out of the early game.

Although quite unpolished in certain ways, it still looks very unique and interesting. It was a somewhat rewarding feel to many units and abilities. Hope to see it improve.

Godsworn looks amazing, I feel Stormgate's issue is that they might be trying to aim/appease the hardcore competitive crowd a little too much by making things very simple and "easy to read", but kinda fails having stuff blend too much and not make it distinct. Godsworn shows you can still have things look busy, beautiful and still readable.

Interesting how people have different opinions on things. I think this game looks really slow and clunky compared to Stormgate and yes it's readable but it doesn't look amazing either, it's going to look a lot more outdated compared to when Stormgate is finished, you can just tell that by looking at the graphics and artstyle.

Fun watching you experiment with a new game! Love the level of detail you go into! Super interesting to hear you notice these little snags! Would like to see you play the new faction!

Spending late nights watching Grubbster destroy my favorite human race in WC3 and now to see him as a grown man enjoying more of a modern RTS that is made by Latvian, which happens to be me too, and a Netherlander, which Grubbster is from, really warms my heart. Thank you Grubby for always being part of my adult life

What innovations in particular have you seen? It looks great and has a decent art direction but other than some QoL I don't see anything that would be marked as innovative in the rts genre.

Very promising game, I believe they will see great success with more work on minor improvements. I always spectate your wc3 games but never learned how to play, this feels like a nice game to start on tho.

Looks very nice sofar! Hope for plenty of variation in factions and a nice story along with demon or such faction I'll like it a lot. My biggest criticism of aoe is how samey all civs are compared to Blizz style. The camera angle also feels very low.

Added Godsworn to my wishlist and will probably give it a try. Also (this might not be the best spot to ask but you never know) does anyone know of a game like Battle for middle earth 2 where every time you create a unit it spawns a big number of them ? For some reason that was one of the things I liked about that game but I haven't found another RTS game where you spawn troops.

I wonder if Grubby ever heard of Iron Harvest. I'm not sure if he is a fan of CoH type RTS games (neither am i tbf) but Iron Harvest has some cool units and such. It's got it's cons, but it is a decent game, it's price also got lowered after the devs decided on putting a £40+ price tag on the game's release - which obviously didn't persuade many people to buy an RTS game that isn't too well known or promising. Though the story is decent and it'd be fun to watch Grubby try it.
