I noticed this very recently actually. The Boo hiding in the piano in A-5 has his name changed from Ooga Booga to Boothoven. I prefer the name change since it fits him better.

Correction: The ghosts used to be more transparent. Opaque means it reflects light instaid of lettinb it travel through. Trandparent lets light travel through, so you can see through it.

A small thing I’d like to point out, is that when Luigi is running in Dark Moon, he makes a normal face for two seconds, then looks scared with his mouth open like he’s screaming. And in 2HD, he just makes a simple worried face.

To be fair, this does look a lot better. Coming out after LM3 makes it look bad by comparison, but it’s a definite visual improvement over the 3DS version.

One of the weirdest things about the Luigi’s Mansion games is that it confirms that paper currency exists in the Mario world rather than just coins, does that feel odd for anyone else or just me?

This video just reminded me how good the original looked for a 3DS game. There were a few instances during this video where I thought the 3DS footage was remaster footage. I can’t wait to see what next level games does with the switch 2!

Anybody notice the weird bug where the E Gadd theme plays right before and after the results screen. A great example is the spider fight, where music, previously silence, kind of just ruins the vibe. I hope they fix it, but I'm not holding my breath. In the original U.S. version this didn't at all, although they both sometimes play ambient sounds they shouldn't right before returning to the lab. There are also some areas, especially in Old Clockworks, where ambient sounds played over top of the music, where it didn't previously.

LM2 is my favorite game of all time, and even tho it's overpriced, i really prefer the remaster, i did NOT regret it, i love it so much

I have played the first two missions of the game and I have been very impressed with the game, I’m so happy I got this game in my collection

2:28 - Brother, opaque means the opposite of what you think it does. Opaque means you can’t see through things. Transparent means you can see right through it. Translucent is the in between where you can partially see through something

Close, very close actually. Transparent is the grade of seeing through something, however translucent is only when light can be seen through something. Opaque is of course completely blocked. Glass is transparent, milk or remedy paint is opaque, and frosted glass or sheet paper is translucent. This usually means that the light is scattered across the piece of this thing, causing it to light up while leaving everything else behind it very invisible. Glass can also become translucent when it is fogged up.

You may notice that the boos have a glowing outline in the remaster.

I didn't know the Luigi's Mansion 2 logo any differently because I'm from Germany and it already looked like this here before the remake

They nerfed his scared run animation, in the original his mouth was open and he looked scared. in the remake he just looks souless... I got issues with this model honestly

A huge change they made in the remake is that in the Scarescraper Rush mode, they increased the starting time from 30 seconds to 45 seconds.

I find it sad but annoying, that they removes the "over here" line from the multiplayer mode. They should have put that line to the left stick button.

I noticed an A5 they move the webs so there's no longer webs in that room at least when I saw in a playthrough because in the original every single time into the level there will always be webs in there

The boo in A-5 is now named boothoven witch makes more sense.

I'm gonna replay the entire Trilogy (with this one being next). I'm current at Boolossus.

i found a difference. when you are about to play a scarescraper (thrill tower) match you can see luigi's icon looking more fleshed out then cartoony.

2:27 Being more opaque means that you can see less through it. You meant more transparent or translucent. btw Dark Moon is the US title, Luigi's Mansion 2 is the original title for everywhere else, including Japan.

I don’t know if anyone noticed but in endless for the hunter scarecraper the spears that the greenies hold has one of the tikis from donkey Kong conture returns the red and blue guy

The one I hate that they didn’t change is the cutscene of ice boss’s possessor not changing colour to match the phase it’s in, it just remains white colour of the first phase

The poison bubbles from the spider have little bubbles floating about

I thought I was the only one to notice the pulling animation being different someone needs to get this to Nintendo so they can patch it in

You missed that they changed the angle of a cutcene in the bedroom. Normally you would see the string lagging out of the bed but now they changed it with a different camera angle so you cant see it (Btw Best Game of all Time)

From what I noticed the worse thing in the HD is the dark light meter being not fluid in the HD.

If they keep it up dk will be worth a third version

King Boo is way bigger in the remake in the intro.

@@Emerson24. that’s actually kinda new for me tbh, but on the bright side I have my 3DS cartridge which means that I’m not gonna get the port… sorry, but I’m actually trying to save up the impossible amount of money for TTYD despite never once seeing a physical cartridge version ever.

Wow, I thought this game was merely a port, but they actually did make the graphics of the game look less blocky and more like a switch title. I'm impressed, but still not going to buy it given the original is still great. Unless by some small chance they add more content/dlc later

You can always borrow it again or recheck it if able. Unless you really want to own it this is the best way to go. It’s a remaster, know the difference

Why nintendo remastered and remake is so inconsistent in price which is a joke now I only bought metroid remastered and paper mario and i still not too keen to get luigi mansion 2 yet until there some sort of sales at my game shop when nintendo dont drop price

Question: is the remake worth buying? I feel $60 for THIS game is a steep asking price (not because it’s bad but because the size/content doesn’t seem to warrant full price)
