FOUND IT. I FOUND THE SONG. This song has been an obsession for me. Somehow it captures so many different feelings perfectly. Sadness, joy, adventure, looming omen. It feels like the night before a battle as stories are told amongst friends that might not live to camp the next day. This song is an obsession for me now.

Dear Borislav, my mom died yesterday after 10 years of ALS desease. Despite the excruciating suffering and the fact that she couldn't move or talk anymore, her eyes screamed "I want to live" until the very end. I've been in love with this incredible, beautiful song of yours since the first moment I've heard it in Baldur's Gate 3, a game that has been deeply important to me, that gave me courage and moments of distraction in a very though time of my life. And, from now on, this song will always make me think of my mother. It already made me feel terribly emotional before all of this... This game, which I could call a real masterpiece, was a gift, and this song in particular is a gift to soothe my heart in this very moment. Thank you. I cannot express clearly enough how much I love it.

After finishing the game last night and listening to this the morning after...it feels like I woke up in a quiet country home well after my adventures, reflecting on the incredible journey I went on with my companions. What a beautiful piece to a once-in-a-lifetime game.

This one, hearing this version in the Grove for the first time... I truly felt... safe from everything, and it's such a wonderful looking place!

Every time I hear this in BG3, I just get a smile on my face.

Yes! I was hoping this version would be made available when I first heard it in the release teaser. Borislav, thank you for composing this and so many other breathtaking pieces!

I want to live is such a perfect title. A song about hope, fear, sadness, love, joy and adventure. I feel so many emotions hearing this

Let's fucking gooooooooo. Two decades waiting for a follow up to number 2 and it's finally here, crafted by the master crafter's of story-telling and a master crafter of musical compositions. I've been hard-bingeing the entire soundtrack in the lead-up to this moment, accompanied by the beyond-mystical OST of Original Sin 2. Borislav, thank you so much for what you do!

Well done Borislav. It's the main "theme" of the game. Every creature wants to live a bit more to... To live. Doesn't matter if you are a vampire, a barbarian with a heart of a ticking bomb, an illithid, a mage, a child living in the middle of a war, a freak amongst regulars, we want to live. Live and let live.

The classical version of 'I want to live' is absolutely beautiful. Truly wonderful. Best composition I've heard in a long, long time.

I really like the parts at 0:53-1:04 and 1:47-1:58. That melody is missing from the other versions of this song.

"I want to live - classic version" is a masterpiece. Beautiful and pleasant melody! The composer has achieved something unthinkable: the quality of the music in "Divinity Original Sin 2"! I often listen to it in my studies and to relax.

Actually this is not a spoiler because it is not THE END. It is that person's end. Your choices may lead to another end. In my husband's gameplay Karlach became the hero and she was alive. ( I didn't play but I watched my husband's gameplay like a movie :))

Absolutely beautiful music through out. But this one is my favorite. The music in this game is one of the big things that turns it from a video game to art. To a genuine experience and memory.

Listening to this music as I was levelling up my characters, just adds a haunting layer to the experience, especially when you're grappling with the near-inevitable demise of Karlach. Her mechanical heart failing her is tragic enough, but knowing that my own choices in the game has impacted her salvation impossible adds a weight of regret and sadness. This tune hits differently when you know you've closed doors that could have saved a life. Seeing this soundtrack title just adds a nice touch to it as well, especially for Karlach's ambition and willingness to keep living on.

Karlach was dealt a bad hand. Spoilers below. No ending with her seems to satisfy no matter how desperately you try to save her. No amount of infernal iron, enriched infernal iron, quests, or rapport will stop that heart from doing her in without going to hell.

these BG3 songs will hit me in the nostalgia bone making me emotional, like randomly hearing some of the OST from skyrim, , LOTR, and even harry potter. I literally have butterflies in my stomach over this game.

I don’t know if my game bugged or what but (spoilers for Astarion’s companion questline ahead) this played after he obliterated Cazador and broke down. He was just sitting there crying, and this started playing. It just hit so hard. He finally had his life back, and what a perfect track for that. I went back to watch the scene on KZread and it didn’t play in their scene? I was wondering if I was crazy and just heard it in my head, but I definitely heard it in the scene. I’m wondering if my game bugged or if it’s because of a recent patch, but I’m glad it happened either way. It added so much to an already powerful scene

Late reply, but the same thing happened with my playthrough a couple weeks ago! It's so heart wrenching I hope it was an update/choice combination, not a random bug 😆. I can't remember if the videos I've seen without it are recent/romanced Astarion so I can't be sure what caused it, though.

God I love this song. It hits me in all the feels. I love to listen to it while I'm writing. I currently play written RP with some friends and this is perfect for the mood.

Awesome - I've been looking for this version. It's the one that plays about 4 songs into the credits music. At parts like 0:11 and 0:36 it seems like a pan flute comes in for the part that is usually just guitar. I love it. Actually reminds me a little bit of Pillars of Eternity soundtrack.

the best thing to do with this track is to play it in sync with the version with lyrics, you get the full experience! They play at the same speed, and they just complement each other

Finished the game today. 100 hours into my first playthrough, and i can't wait to start the next. This song is beautiful and I'm excited to hear it throughout my next 100 hours. Adventure, threat, and hope all intertwine within this melody. Its majestic.

[major ending spoiler] In the ending scene with Astarion, if you're romantically involved, you can choose to embark on a quest for a cure together. I only finished the game yesterday and that was my ending. Judging by the comments here and there it seems like this is the best one, because it doesn't end with him being hurt and running away. It ends with him and Tav starting a new adventure. I loved it, it's a fitting new beginnings for the two! ❤

@@SmartyPoohBearAstarion really does decide to go with Tav on a quest to see if he can be cured. It’s not just to comfort Tav, they’re actually setting out together with that mission in mind. We, as players, can’t find a cure because the narrative ends with them embarking on their journey, but you can write the narrative yourself for them however you see fit.

This songs remind me so much of DOS2, Rivellon. I definitely hear motifs. It evokes the same feelings of adventure, melancholy, bittersweetness, but also excitement.

One of the highlights in an already superb OST, this stays in your head and you hear it outside of the game, it is that powerful
