I understand your pov but i personally dont think Rei was confident enough to attempt singing it as her main focus in the group isnt vocals, its rap. I think the hate she received for that whole situation was sorta unnecessary to an extent by the fact that she isnt the main or even lead vocalist who is usually expected of their vocals to be being skillful enough (live) to hold their position. But even though she doesnt technically excel in singing, she does have a ton of potential and could easily become better and more promising as a singer because even now, she has a good voice!

Yeah I kinda see this in the same way where people get so much plastic surgery to get hourglass bodies that people forget people ACTUALLY have that body type naturally and start accusing them of surgery. I see the same with auto tune. People who can ACTUALLY sing stable live vocals get accused of auto tune because that is now seen as unnatural…they’re just too good for their own good lol

Honestly txt are great at singing live. They’ve improved a lot over the 9 months of hiatus and are very stable. three out of five of them can pass as main vocalists and thats pretty impressive. Beomgyu and soobin bring out unique vocals to their music and are pretty stable when singing live. Having one encore stage where they sounded shaky doesnt mean they’re bad (ive seen MUCH worse..) Their encore stage for GBGB was incredible. Their recent concerts are proof because they had a segment where they sung some parts of their songs without backing vocals or autotune and it sounds EXACTLY like the studio version (yeonjun went viral for this multiple times) i have general information about vocals and technique and i wouldn’t say they’re THE best group out there when it comes to vocals but its just insane to think they’re the “worst”

no hate i respect txt andbtheir music but why are u being proud of their 20cm live? yeonjun was nasal the whole time with tehyun and hyuka who isn't nasal most of the time, was also very nasal and taehyun did very pushed and strained belt, soobil and beomgyu were very off pitch singing the song though their parts were between G3-A4 i assume. Don't be proud of their being horrible in that performamce, hitting hignotes doesn't determine vocal capability and it has shown their weakness more. I wish hybe let their idols better vocal lesson so they don't damage their vocal cords

Tomorrow by Together has raw vocals and they’ve shown these on many levels. Raw vocal professionals has said they have good vocals but still need to work on things. Encore is suppose to have be fun they don’t always have to professionals and get an approval from international and netizens.

3rd gen definitely has more good vocalist then 4th gen , also 3rd gen has few iconic vocalists that people will cherish them as legends, people are asking for 5th gen already, yet 4th gen really didn't show a strong vocalist to at least stand before 3rd gen's many lead vocal.

1. Fearless is a very difficult song to perform even for idols and professional singers. Le Seraffim just get for literally EVERYTHING they do. 2. TXT have such amazing vocals and I'm not saying this becuz I'm a MOA I became a becuz of their amazing stage presence and outstanding vocals. Even in the clip u showed from the love song encore stage Taehyun flawlessly hit the high note. For the people who say that the idols can't sing live and the proof they have are encore stages are just not enough. Becuz in encore stages idols are enjoying and jumping around having fun with each other and other things.

I have to say that compared to 3rd gen, some 4th gen groups don't have that insane vocal stability when singing live while dancing, but I guess is due to the fact that many are so young, so I agree with the comment of them getting much better with time. Also not having too much stability while singing doesn't mean they can't sing. Plus, when they sing live and it doesn't sound too good people be really complaining and then when idols do lipsync they also complain... I feel bad because all of these groups just get attacked for almost everything

TXT are actually one of the groups that can be comparable to 3rd gen groups based off their skills. Their all rounders for a reason and I feel like some netizens will nitpick them just because of the debut hype and constantly being compared to BTS who is a group the biggest boy group in the world. The group doesnt have any set positions for a reason. Every member of TXT can excell at any catagory dance, singing, and rap but yeonjun always charms everyone with his rap and TXT is not a group with rap heavy songs or a rap heavy concept in general so the fact that all members could rap, sing, and, dance is already really impresseive. Its hard to find groups like that in 4th gen and not all 3rd gen was as versatile as TXT is.

⚠️: no hate, I love truly stan all these groups In my honest opinion all of them are talented artist with so much potential. Most of these "bad" singing clips are during encore stages when the idols are having fun and enjoying their win so I don't know why people expect perfection. Yes I admit there's a bit brushing off to do here and there but come on people, they're humans like everyone of us, nobody's perfect. Think about everything they're already doing to meet up to the "standards". These idols practice for Lord knows how long everyday to present a produce and present good music for us. They have to sings, dance and look good while doing everything just to please people. And bruh, most of the people hating on them can barely meet the standards they set themselves. It's disgusting really. Again nobody's perfect, people will make mistakes along the way but having on them isn't gonna suddenly make them perfect.

I fully disagree about TXT like how are they even mentioned here? They are literally one of the best 4th gen groups in terms so vocals, they sure are not the best but definitely not the WORST. They all literally can sing so well especially taehyun and not to mention their versatility. (PS: their songs are so freaking good even the bsides imo)

Album sales are so important because even though they dont have the biggest fanbase in 4th gen they still outsell when it comes to albums meaning they dont have skips in their music. Music can only be good when u can sing and theirs a versatility in singing in any concept the fact that taehyun tought himself how to sing with a growl shows their growth as respected artist. no shade but some groups title tracks might do well but their album songs are trash. Theirs just not a style TXT can pull off and a Ballad is peice of cake.

stayc is probably the most overrated gg when it comes to vocals. people mistook their stability for good technique which is just wrong. but in technical view, they are all undeveloped vocalists. what really matters to me is that they are not afraid to sing live which is what a performer should be!

this. I appreciate the effort behind live vocals while dancing, but I much prefer idols who have solid technique and breath control so they don’t hurt their vocal cords in the long run. yoon has such a powerful voice but absolutely no technique because she’s always yelling out the lyrics. she could be a BEAST if she got the proper training

Thank god someone is saying it. Like at one bit of this video said, the bar is so low for 4th gen that everyone can get excited about average vocals. Don't get me wrong stayc has good music but they're all just average vocally as a group. Even sieun who although has shown us she can give us more from her vocals are kinda average. I thought that now aespa have begun to sing live I'd stop seeing the stayc vocal queens of the 4th gen narrative but nope.

Starship should have properly trained IVE before debuting them, this could have saved them from a lot of hate. Even tho I agree that their songs are top tier and they are one of the best 4th gen groups, they are really left behind in skills they should have as an idol group such as dancing, rap and especially singing. They are average in dancing and Rei and Gaeul are also average in rapping. And are you really expecting me to believe that they have the balls to sing live? Watch the dream concert, other than Liz and Yujin their vocals were pretty unstable especially Leeseo and i doubt if Wonyoung even sang. And don't even get me started on the eleven encores. And yes I know that IVE are rookies and they are still improving, but imo they don't really have the skills a group should have before debuting. I mean look at Nmixx, they are just a 5 month old group but already so many people recognized them for their amazing vocals + live vocals and stage presence. I hate to complain but other than Yujin I really don't feel thrilled to watch their fancams. If we are talking about Wonyoung, I am sorry but her stage presence only consists of smiling the whole time and winking. That might have suited IZ*ONE's concept but considering IVE's concept it doesn't look very appealing

sadly, no one cares about training idols properly in kpop 🤷🏼‍♀️ like sunmi even said that one of her coaches told her that she needs to pratice now because once she debuts, there is no time for proper vocal training in kpop anymore

i personally dont think txt vocals are average. maybe ive and le sserafim might still need some work on their vocals but they just debuted a year or less than a year ago. theyre still young and people should stop setting them on such high bars like the second or third gen. And i think people are just trying to make txt seem average. They might not be the next bts but theyre good enough to be called good singers and idols.

I love music so I am into the vocal techniques and skills. I love the emotions that is being portrayed by the singer, in txt songs, I can literally feel the emotions by their voices which is why I can relate to them a lot. Literally all the members can sing. I recommend you to listen to their songs like Anti-Romantic, Trust Fund Baby, Love Sight, Hitori no yoru, Ring, Ito etc. Their voices are crystal clear.

If TXT's vocal is the bad then I don't know about other groups, I've seen worst Lmao. Having 1 bad encore doesn't mean they're bad singers, TXT has gone viral many times because of their live vocals and netizens praised their recent encore stage with GBGB. Yeonjun became viral because of his live vocals in their concert with Lonely Boy, all members are stable and can sing well live while dancing to difficult choreographies. Other people even prefer their raw vocals without autotune and sometimes it's better than the studio version, they're not the best singers but they're definitely not the worst. It's true that TXT are all rounders and very talented, each members are capable of any roles/positions given to them.

FRL international fans are always more sesnible and reliant when it comes to critiqing idols bc Knetz bash idols for the stupidest reasons that dont even make sense. They pick and choose who they like and its not from valid reasoning.

Personally, for me, I applaud le sseraffim for singing live rather than lip-syncing. Many kpop rookie groups tend not to sing live because of their hard choreography(or just new to the industry), but in their stage? You can tell what a LIVE performance should be.

I think what people don't understand is that some groups (for example IVE, ITZY) are designed to make trendy and addictive songs and groups (for example NMIXX) who are designed to show off their vocal skills rather than have a addictive trendy song

Honestly, I am yet to be wowed by the vocal skills of Enhypen as a group. I remember them being amazing as individuals on I-Land. What happened?

I seriously watched I-land from the very start and were with them till the end of their I-land journey, encountering stages filled with awesome live vocals without much bg music, but all I got after their debut was a huge disappointment...This is why I dont like indulging myself into a survival show so much...

Why expect perfection??they are not robots to just sing well in whatever style u want????

taehyun is literally one of the best vocalist in kpop overall. kai and yeonjun are amazing vocalists as well and they could be main vocalists for sure if it wasnt for taehyun. soobin and beomgyu have unique vocal tones which only adds to the group as a whole. whats more, they are amazing dancers, performers and have great connection with fans. txt is top 5 group in 4th kpop when it comes to talent.

They compare a small company like high up that has 1 group with 3 other big companies, a high up debuted with the girls with a few months of training and they have everything on the channel since their vocal training.

Wow, stayc slanderers are here, Talking about support and technique like they know a thing about it (not all though). STAYC may not reach your standards in terms of vocals and etc, but for us swith who is rooting and supporting them since the day they debuted, we wouldnt allow you to backlash and spread hate to stayc. You talk that stayc is just an average and no outstanding talent individually. But we swith are not seeing stayc individually, we see them as a group,WE STAN A GROUP, a group that complete each other weaknesses in terms of vocals, dance, and etc. Their individual skills can support each other, and help them shine as a group..most of all, swith is a sweet fandom, our stayc girls may not be the best of the best but atleast they gave us above average performance that not many group could make. Giving their best in each stage ,each music that is given more time to think,The discography that is unmatch (for me) . they done more ,and thats ok for swith, after all they always prove to us that every comeback, they always improve their strenght and bring so much in the table, that we cant help but to be surprise all the time. I feel like encores should be abolished. It was suppose to be this casual fun thing for the groups to do for fans now its weaponized by antis to judge the groups singing.

If it's bad singing it's mostly on them, if it's off key it can be technical issue

All of them can sing. These "netizens" need to be cancelled because they think they're all that and think they are above everyone else, but in general everyone knows they are insecure that they cant sing/rap as good as these idols, that they cant be as pretty/handsome as these idols, so they try to bring the idols down for their own needs because they are not happy that someone is better than them.

*what the damn hell! Stayc?? I think they're the Queen's of live singing? Like they're good at vocals, all of em....TXT SLAYING ALL STAGES... EVEN TAEHYUN SAID THEY TEND TO SING HIGHER THAN THE AUTOTUNE BRO THEYRE VOICES ARE ANGELIC*

Alright here is my take that no one asked for... IVE: I understand criticism towards Rei, when watching a performance you want to hear every note and it can be annoying when it's not even attempted. That being said, yesterday when I watched a bunch of IVEs live performances, Rei has some of the best stability in the group. Plus a lovely voice and some nice vibrato. And that's hard to do while doing choreo. She is definitely skilled and talented and I believe she improved with Love Dive. Rei, Yujin and Liz stand out to me the most when they perform their vocals. Not that the other members are bad. Infact I truly believe that IVE has great vocals and stability when performing. But for some reason Yujin, Rei and Liz always impress me, especially with Love Dive. All of the members have improved with Love Dive and I know they are going to slay the next comeback. Le Sserafim: They are talented and I get that lower songs are harder to sing but we shouldn't lie here just because we like them. They really need to improve. The shakiness, off notes, they need to be improved. And they just debuted, which means there is a ton of room for improvement as they further their career. They all have the potential to improve and be better, and I'm looking forward to future comebacks. The most stable member with good vocals in my opinion is Chaewon and sometimes Kazuha really impresses me too, especially when she didn't train for long. I understand the "oh but the choreo is hard" reasoning, but at the same time groups like ITZY who have difficult choreo, even NMIXX a bit, still hit those notes the best they can. Yeji and Lily come to mind because they almost always hit those notes whole dancing. And as for the low notes, I see how they are hard to hit. But that doesn't mean they can't work on their breath support and hit them. I apologise if it sounds like I'm comparing groups I'm just trying to come up with an example. StayC Their vocals are pretty good in my opinion. Nothing particularly outstanding but no where near bad either. They definitely have talent and absolute bops though, Run 2 U is always on repeat in my household lol. I was fine with their live performances, some of them were better others in terms of vocals but I do think they will also improve in time. Once again, choreo is a factor when we hear shakiness and poor technique in performances. But that doesn't mean they don't need to work on it, because they do. While I understand people saying their vocals are some of the most powerful in Gen 4 I can't help but disagree. When I think of the best 4th Gen vocals, StayC just doesn't come to mind. I personally think of NMIXX and Aespa but that's my personal opinion. However they are pretty good and I know they'll just get better and better. TXT: I don't really stan nor know much about TXT so I can't really make too much of a comment but I always thought their vocals were great. I get that they have some off moments, and some performances are better than others but at the same time their vocals are nice to hear and they are all so talented. As I said previously they will improve as their career goes further. The bottom line is, most of these groups are fairly new. And singing while trying to do perfect choreo is very difficult. A performers job is not easy. Some idols are very busy, tired, possibly dehydrated and maybe not getting the nutrition needed which plays a small role in all of this. It's hard for them to be in the public eye, especially one so critical. They are under alot of pressure. It's natural for some groups to lack vocal stability/technique, especially when they are new but I really think all of these groups can and will improve drastically. They all have the potential to show us some great vocal skills and they will. This is just my personal opinion. :)

I completely agree with you. Plus people shouldn't judge when they literally only saw one clip of them singing badly, and yes, im talking about txt antis.

txt might not have the best vocalist in 4th gen since theres idols like yedam jongho, but their live vocals are real good and keeps improving. for lesserafilm, the song is just hard to sing and they’ve actually improved so much from their first live stage to their most recent ones.

Some Knets and antis r literally the worst Like bro leave em alone theyre just trynna sing And if ur complaining so much then do it urself 🙄

This generation of kpop is getting more and more problematic. Hoping that the future generation groups wouldn't experience these harsh things done by delusional netizens.

TXT are super talented- a couple of bad stages with poor music quality isn’t their fault- in-ear mic systems and poorly timed backtracks can account for many issues. These four guys have amazing vocals.

I hope people would stop basing their vocal capabilities in Encore Stage. LMAO. That stage is made to have fun, celebrate your win, be happy. If you want more live vocals, go check up their concert stages and other live vocals (ex : recording behind)

I'm not a Swith but lately, Stayc really catch my eyes.All the B-side songs are my cup of tea.I found that Seeun voice cracked a few times but let's admit it even DK and Seungkwan who are great vocalists also cracked sometimes(I'm a Carat).We are all humans after all.Mistake mean that you tried .I really appreciate that they have the gut to sing live and hope that they continue to challenge themselves while improving their skills.Im anticipating for their upcoming comeback.

Yeah we know that Crack voice is not a problem but the difference between dk&seungkwan and sieun that dk and seungkwan are technically in high vocal tier ( Above average) while sieun is an underdeveloped vocalist

@@soujoudlouhichi9695 That's why they do vocal training to improve, it's a fact that they learn it, it's just not something you learn overnight. Support Sieun G#4/A4 Yoon and Isa can take it too. The producer says he wants them to be legendary and will invest as much as possible in them.

There are way more worsts 4th gen groups than txt and stayc when it comes to overall vocal capabilities especially live vocals 😭 I don't want to mention them but I know I'm not the only one who thinks so.😂 TXT is even considered as one of the 4th gen groups who is good at overall vocals (every member) especially when performing live. They may not be the best but to say that they are one of the worst out there? I'm sorry but it's just plain stupid. 😊

Yeah, totally agree, these two groups should not belong in this list.

I’ve said this time and time again. Just because an idol/group has a few videos where they aren’t singing perfectly does not mean they’re bad or lack singing capabilities. So to say they’re the worst vocalist of the 4th gen kpop groups is really harsh and uncalled for. Putting more pressure on them and criticizing them for the littlest things is horrible and just plain bullying. Also with the IVE situation. I actually thought she was professional. Cause instead of hitting a note she knew she couldn’t do at the moment and making a fool of herself in front of thousands she decided to not do it and shout out their fans. Like yeah I get that they wanted to hear her high note live but she’s human like everyone else and wasn’t capable in those moments. Putting these idols on this pedestal and expecting them to be perfect and amazing at everything and then when they aren’t are ridiculed and shamed and called “ugly” or “untalented” ect ect. It’s extremely toxic and horrifying

(This is no hate towards any of the groups) I really think the vocal quality has decreased since 3rd. Especially being an EXOL and seeing how powerful EXOs debut was vocally it’s surprising to see how the 4th gens are. But every group has something they’re good at whether it be vocals, dancing etc

Did they even heard Taehyun ? How TXT have bad vocals ??

Would also add Enhypen when talking about their vocals it’s usually one member that is mentioned and the rest aren’t… you can hear how the rest of the members technique is not so good when they struggle to mix their chest to falsetto (which is the tone they usually sing in) and on live stages when they run out of breath they stop singing and revert to shouting

Literally bring me one 4th gen group that can pull off 0X1 LOVESONG live. TXT literally had one bad encore and people called them the worst vocalists ever whereas 98% of 4th gen bgs exist. But then again TXT have proved them 100 times how great vocalists they are. They are one of the few groups left that still focus on vocals and not just dance and ugly rapping.

Bruh go see txt's lollapalooza videos or ask someone who went there and watched it live. Ig now one "bad" encore performance means they're a bad vocal group or sm. Your idols have had those bad stages too (and ofc it's ok, people make mistakes) but when it comes to their juniors everyone slams them

I can disagree on txt, after hearing them sing live at the NY concert, ain’t no way anybody can say they have weak vocals. They performed 11 songs straight & still had smooth vocals after all the dancing & walking around the floor to greet fans. People can say what they want but they are def not the worst vocalist of gen 4.
