At season's end, Darren Berrecloth and Sam Hill join Burry Stander and Christoph Sauser in Zermatt, Switzerland to share a trail ride on the 2012 Stumpjumper FSR. 4 different riders with 4 different styles and all agree that the Stumpjumper is the 1 bike they'd want if 1 bike was all they had.

Damn! I just bought one month ago the 2012 stumpjumper evo carbon elite and I love it! uphill beast and downhill also very good!

Great video and fantastic location. What exactly was the route that they were going from Zermatt up and back down? I have to ride it next spring when I'm a happy Stumpjumper owner!

i wasnt sure if they are good enough to do all these trais but then i remebered, its sam hill.
the Enduro is pretty versatile as well. Maybe a bit worse for uphill than the Stumpjumper but it shreds on the down hill

Demo 8 is friggin unbelievably awesome, but the question here was if you could only have one bike to do everything, it would be a Stumpy, and I agree having owned several.
whats that thing they mention & show for the chain slap, can u buy & add to any buy, & would it help from gears jumping on lower end bikes, my junk jumps on higher drops/jumps

@s0c0guinn you don't need the most expensive bike man! If you're starting, get started on a beginner level full suspension bike like a GT I myself rode a GT. Managed to gather money and custom built my own yeti as-r carbon.

No, its for 2012 with alloy frame
3,749.95 at my bikeshop for 2013 enduro fsr comp. Are these cheaper ,or wait and get a bigger wheel size.the video really is amazing ,R.i.P. to maker i cant believe he has passed away.

What is awesome about this video is; they didn't make it a 29er vs. 26er thing. Neither is better than the other, and neither can do what the other can't. Stander and Sauser on 29ers, and Hill and Berrecloth on 26ers. Personal preference; like it should be.

It is very hard to disagree that SJ FSR is probably one of the best - if not the best trail bike. I am happy owner of this bicycle and I don't understand why you have never showed this bike during climbing. In my opinion there is nothing more exciting than long downhill ride after hard climbing. I try not to use facilities to get on the top of hill or mountain and downhill I treat as a reward of the effort of climbing...
