Nice explanation. I found this video looking for stuff on the Fortnite UE. I did notice that I couldn't duplicate your CTL W in the FNUE. Perhaps I was doing something wrong but it seemed pretty straight forward. I would agree with you that I'd prefer that over the ctl c is it is a bit annoying to have it EXACTLy where the original is positioned. The ALT drag was very helpful.

What about Duplicate (Ctrl+D)?! I have this weird problem where no matter if I'm duplicating objects, classes or nodes inside BluePrints, whatever changes I make to the "copy", it automatically gets replicated to its "parent", which is very strange. It looks like it's another way of copy+pasting things, but it somehow still holds a link between the original and the copy. Any thoughts? Thanks a lot!

Explained in detail, I also want to know how to perform associative copying, that is to say, if I change the properties of an object, the properties of all copied objects will be changed accordingly. How can this be done?

This took far too long for me to find so I'll just explain it here for anyone in the future: 1. Highlight the actor(s) and all of its children 2. Right click, Go to "Level --> Create Level Instance..." 3. I like to set my Pivot Type to "Actor" and pick a specific actor to base the resulting transforms off of (e.g. I'm combining a lamp and a light source, so I made the lamp the pivot point". Otherwise, you can keep the settings as-is 4. Click "Ok" 5. Save it wherever you want this combined instance to be. I put it where the meshes were and named it "Lamp" 6. It now appears in the scene, but you'll notice that you can't edit it directly 7. Select it, then click "Ctrl + E" to enter Level Instance editing mode (you can hide gizmos with "g" and you can get rid of the gray overlay by going to "Show --> Visualize --> Visualize Level Instance Editing"). If you have multiple instances, you'll notice that only the one you're editing will change in real time. Rest assured, they all will update when you save and exit the level instance editor 8. Click "Exit" and agree to save when you're done! Hopefully this workflow helps someone

Great Video. Thanks a lot. Can you please guide me how to clone lights ? Like, I create a light and want to clone them (Not duplicate) - so that if I change the intensity of one light - it will affect all other cloned lights immediately. I have created a huge parking lot - which has got more than 200 lights. What I need is, to control (intensity, falloff, etc) all those 200 lights at a time. Can you please help ?

I tried alt drag instinctively because thats the shortcut in many programs, but it edited the pivot point and did not copy
